I have a recipe (I think from "Taste of Home" magazine that is a Ginger button cookie (Thumbprint cookie) with a ginger frosting in the dimple. So good!

Just a quick question. I was wondering how do the sprinkles of sugar get on top of your cookies? The debate with me and the fiance' tonight was take a salt shaker full of sugar after they are done, or press gently in a bowl of sugar after they have cooked. Either way, congratulations on another wonderful lens.

Jim, I'm sorry I missed your question. The sprinkles of sugar get onto the cookies when you make the little balls and roll them in the sugar.

These look the same as what we call Ginger Snaps in England. Snaps because they are harder and crunchy and "Snap" when you bite them. They taste so good. CoOngratulations on your Purple Star.

Anything gingerbread is good by me. In fact, we use gingerbread syrup for our lattes once in a while. Looks delicious!
