The Recipes of Africa - Is it worth it?

Review of the 'Recipes of Africa' eBook

The Recipes of Africa purports to be the largest collection of African recipes ever brought into a single eBook.

Based on the highly-popular Celtnet African Recipes website the eBook is a collection of recipes representing each and every region and country in Africa. You can find more information and sample recipes as: African Recipes Samples.

It's intended as a means of supporting a campaign to educate the children of Liberian refugees forced to flee their homeland by civil war and now displaced to Senegal, West Africa.

But that is never a sufficient reason to buy anything. The question is, does this eBook stand on its own merits and does it deliver... anything...

As an eBook it's pretty huge, 500+ pages in all with more than 800 recipes. These have been chosen to be representative not only of the five regions of Africa (North Africa, West Africa, Central Africa, East Africa and Southern Africa) but also to present recipes from each and every country on the continent of Africa. This, in itself is a mammoth undertaking.

You will get to know a little about Africa's regions and a little about each country. But this product is there for the food. Many of the recipes are truly native African recipes and lots have been transcribed by the author after seeing the food being cooked. Others are variants of family meals or restaurant recipes whilst others are festival or feast foods. It's a cross-section of cooking representing everything from the poorest peasant dish to the most lavish item on a restaurant menu.

If you are interested in cooking in any way then this eBook will be a total eye-opener for you. You will discover things about the breadth of African cookery that you would never have imagined. Find familiar ingredients used in novel ways and novel ingredients that you may not have encountered before.

Learn how to make the most of the odds and ends in your kitchen and learn the healthy stews of West and Central Africa which are heavy on greens but low on meat.

Discover your love for food once more, get this eBook. In an internet of knock-offs and look-alikes this eBook is totally unique and if anything it over-delivers on what it promises. If anything the price is ridiculously low for what you get... Others would sell this for two or three times the asking price. Just don't let the price fool you. This is the real deal. You do get over 800 recipes and the eBook has been packaged like a real book, complete with chapters, introduction, sections, an index (covering many subjects) and a full table of contents.
