Take advantage to use the world to track for music you love!
Many people, young and old, think that that after October 1982, LP's began ceasing production. But of course, they did produce LP's in the 80's: what they don't realize is that they are still being produced, and being purchased by young and old people, but according to many statistics, there is a rising amount of younger people making up most LP purchases, while there are still older people who continue to say, "Oh, I sold all my LP's. CD's obsoleted them." But you must know that this is not true, and there are many record stores around the world, online and local who continue to sell even new LP's.
This list connects these records stores to you, so you won't need to count on your local record store to pick up the debut album of the Stooges. Or your favorite Black Flag album. This list also connects addresses, so in case you wanted to drive to some record store, you would have the address of the place. I know many record store owners who used to go on road trips to buy rare and new LP's. But with the many record stores beginning to create online catalogues, you won't need to step out of your house. If you are lucky they may allow you to order by phone.

Take Advantage of the opportunity to explore music, new and old, with the world of music at the click of the mouse. This list is updated everyday, as I continue to discover new record stores.
I don't know about you, but I like things that may die at sometime soon. It seems that the record fad will die if nobody starts dealing with record stores. It is in the best interest to build our collection of LP's and 45's, or else, how are we such music fans?!
So what do we do?! Answer: we preserve media. That's the best way to get people to appreciate older mediums is to support your local record companies, but also try to take time and invest in world-wide deals. You could get the Electric Ladyland from some record store in Germany. It doesn't really matter as long as you have the money with you. Maybe some folks care about the shipping, but I honestly don't if I am getting Yeti by Amon Duul, in the mail.

Record Hunting Tip
This is pretty important
Usually when i go to a record store, I look at the selections they have by the counter because they usually are the better ones. I found Jefferson Airplane's Thirty Seconds in Winterland in one of those piles, but also Lizard by King Crimson. You can find a whole lot of rare stuff just by looking in those piles.
This is All You Need
I think the the farther back in history you go, like the history of electronics, the better the frequency rating for those devices. Many people realized that Surround Sound was bull when it came out. What is pretty disappointing is the fact that they tried to make stereo receivers smaller, and companies like Sansui; even before they made them compact, the frequency rating is off the charts. All you really need is a stereo made in the 70's. But go ahead and find a stereo from any decade. Also be sure to make yourself familiar with numbers, because most everyone knew what they were doing before they decided to tweak with the knobs. Plus, when you have plugged it into the wall, it will look beautiful:
