To encapsulate, you have to be calm and follow the above-mentioned precautions and suggestions. Try to use the volume or the hard drive as minimal as possible to avoid any further loss of data. In addition, most significantly any file recovery software cannot guarantee complete satisfactory results. However, try and be positive and confident of everything you are doing to restore your lost data.

STEP1: Download the free Remo Recover Mac trial and then install Remo Mac Recover Mac



STEP2: Select the option "Recover - Advanced, if you have deleted any photos, video or music files, you can select the first option "Recover Photo". Considering that the deletion has been of generic file types, which could be office document, PDF file etc. you will see how recovery is done through "Recover - Advanced" option. In the next screen you need to select the drive from which you are looking to recover files.



STEP3: Once you have selected the source drive from where you need to recover deleted data, select the option from "Volume Processing Option" window.

Display Default Volumes- Selecting this option would give you a list of volumes that you can select for scanning and finding deleted files

Scan for Volumes - Opting for this option will result in a scan, where software will start finding lost or deleted volume.

Raw Search - Selecting this option would scan the hard drive for finding preset list of files and this option will do an advance search for each file type that you will select and will recover all files matching to that criteria. The result of this scan will produce all sort of files, which can be lost or deleted.



Let's try and use the options "Display default volumes" and "Raw Search". As they are well suited options to recover deleted or missing files.It will not be useful to select the option "Scan for volumes", because as we know that you are not looking to recover lost or deleted partition.



STEP4: Upon selecting the option "Display default volume" you will get a list of volumes on a Mac drive. You just need to select the volume. Once you select the volume, you will see the next screen as shown below



STEP5: In this window, you need to select the scanning method. You will select the "Advance Scan" as it is the most comprehensive scanning method, which will do a complete sector by sector search to locate deleted / missing files.



STEP6: Once advance scanning is over, you will see all data in a finder like view. Here you just need to select the files that you need to recover and click save button to transfer data to another healthy volume or Mac drive.

In case you are not able to find the files that you were looking for, you can switch to the other option i.e. "Raw Search"



STEP6A: Raw Search is based on signature search method, once you select this option you will get a preset list of files that can be selected and the software will start scavenging for those file types on your volume or the disk region that you have selected. It is an extremely advanced option, where you can even add newer file types, which are not available in the default preset list of files.



Once scanning is over, you will get a list of files as shown below and they just needs to be restored.
