Who's Your Target Market?

Knowing your target market is crucial for you to recruit the ideal prospect. Narrowing your search reduces your recruiting cost and makes better use of your time. Many in a home business try to appeal to everyone when the true fact is is that not everyone would be a good candidate.

Is Your Target Market....

A stay home mom? A stay home dad? Recently unemployeed? in debt? a previous home business seeker?

What things are your target market looking for, thinking about, and concerned about?
What are their needs?
What are some of the problems you can help them solve?

One thing they 'could be' looking for might be a resource, like a marketing tool, system they needed in a previous home business that failed.
The prospect may be on the Internet searching for specific book titles related to people successful in a home business.

Or, they may be looking for information on health alternatives or green products.

You can get tons of ideas like this by simply going onto Google and typing in "Network marketing" -- you'll find all kinds of related topics, resources and examples.

These are all clues as to what your target market is looking for, thinking about, and concerned about.
Your target market may NOT be actively searching for anything at all-but you can still 'attract' them.

LISTEN for the Needs or Problems

Offer a Solution

What "needs" or "problems" do people have that you can help them solve?
Listening is what you must be good at. Listen to what people are saying when having a conversation with you or others. Become good at over hearing others conversation. You can pickup on many "needs" or "problems" they are facing.
Perhaps they are sharing a story about how they hate their job, hate traveling a long distance to work. Maybe it is how they physically do not feel well. Maybe how they would like to take a vacation but cannot afford it. LISTEN!!! Much is told if you are just listening! Once you know the needs then you will be able to show the benefits to them from your business opportunity, what your team offers, what a particular product can do for them. LISTENING is the key, become excellent on listening and seeing how your opportunity will benefit others. Once you do that then showing the relationship between their needs and your answer for them.

The Benifits

It's All About What's in it for Them

What "needs" or "problems" do people have? What solutions can you offer them? Much is told to you, just listen! Once you know the needs then you will be able to show the benefits to them from your business opportunity, what your team offers, what a particular product can do for them. LISTENING is the key, become excellent on listening and seeing how your opportunity will benefit others. Once you do that then showing the relationship between their needs and your answer for them.
Contacts are all over. The internet, the ball field, the grocery, standing in long lines, school functions, waiting rooms, networking functions, restaurants, the list is endless. JUST LISTEN for them.
Pitch your benefits. What you have to offer a prospect. It is a particular product, a strong team willing to help everyone, a solid source of income, a free website, free training or yourself as a strong leader.
"Sell" the benefits because people want to know what's in it for them, the benefits!
