Being eco-friendly never looked so chic with these fun and funky bracelets made from plastic bags. The concept is based on upcycling: Making something usable out of something that would either be trashed or otherwise recycled. It's a fun project and it gets people talking! Try this one out for yourself!

So you want to know how to make a bracelet out of plastic bags? Make sure to grab a variety of bags with different colors and/or designs. The more color, the better!

Instructions:

Step 1: Choose three bags you want to craft your bracelet from. Grab some scissors and cut off the bottom seams of your plastic bags.

Step 2: Now you will cut 1 (1 inch) thick strip across the width of each of the bags you chose. You should now have 3 different colored strips.

Step 3: Tie the three bag strips together in a small knot at one end.

Step 4: Now you can begin braiding the three strips together as long as you need to go around your wrist to form a bracelet.

Step 5: You should have some room left over now to tie the ends together. Trim off any excess plastic.

Step 6: You are done! Pat yourself on the back and show off your new style!

* Some fun variations to this you can try are different braiding techniques, more strips added in, your own personal touch of charms, other recyclable materials, etc. The possibilities are endless!
