http://www.ulrikamay.com is a beautiful designed site about cushions made from recycled vintage scarves.

Ulrika May is a London based designer which does gorgeous handmade cushions. Using stunning vintage silk scarves, Ulrika's design evoke the charm and glamour of past fashion eras in a modern and vibrant way.Originating from the forties, fifties, sixties and seventies the charming cushions are fabulously versatile and work effectively in various surroundings. "I love the timeworn aesthetics of the fabrics and imagine the women who ones possessed the scarves" says Ulrika. "The colours and patterns of those scarves are so beautiful and I appreciate the fact that I can give them a new existence."
In the UK alone 2.15 million tons of new clothing and shoes are bought each year and over 900,000 million old items are chucked away to make space for new buys.
It really makes sense to recycle, especially if it results in such a beautiful product.
