Plot summary, stars and soundtrack

This is not a sequel to "Red Dawn" but a reboot of the 1984 film, this time with North Korea the enemy in place of Russia as was depicted in the original. In the early stages of pre-production, China was scripted as the enemy. But excerpts of the script that were leaked on the Internet drew sharp criticisms from Chinese newspapers, with headlines such as "U.S. reshoots Cold War movie to demonize China". It was later edited to depict a North Korean invasion in post-production due to concerns from distributors.
The film's plot remains the same. For those who have not seen the 1984 version, here's the plot again:
An American city awakens to the surreal sight of foreign paratroopers dropping from the sky - shockingly, the U.S. has been invaded and their hometown is the initial target. Quickly and without warning, the citizens find themselves prisoners and their town under enemy occupation. Determined to fight back, a group of young patriots seek refuge in the surrounding woods, training and reorganizing themselves into a guerilla group of fighters. Taking inspiration from their high school mascot, they call themselves the Wolverines, banding together to protect one another, liberate their town from its captors, and take back their freedom.

"Red Dawn (2012)" is directed by Dan Bradley (Spider-Man 3, The Bourne Ultimatum) and stars Chris Hemsworth (Snow White and the Huntsman), Isabel Lucas (Immortals), Josh Hutcherson (Journey 2: The Mysterious Island), Josh Peck (Ice Age: Continental Drift), Adrianne Palicki (Elektra Luxx), Connor Cruise (Seven Pounds), Edwin Hodge (Take Me Home Tonight), Jeffrey Dean Morgan (Texas Killing Fields) and Michael Beach (A Gifted Man tv series).
The film is scored by Ramin Djawadi (Safe House). As of today, the film's trailers and soundtrack details have not been released. Stay tuned.

I cannot wait for this movie to come out. It's very interesting that China flipped its lid when it found out it happened to be the enemy. It's just a movie, besides if there were to be completely accurate according to modern events I don't think it would even see the light of day. Great lens.
