Red Green Show - Zaniness at Possum Lake
Ranked #18,760 in Entertainment, #227,880 overall
Red Green Show
The Red Green Show, which ran from 1991 to 2006, features the lives and misadventures of Red Green (right), his manic nephew Harold and his weird assortment of friends who reside around Possum Lake in the fictional Canadian town of Port Asbestos.
Red is a handyman (sort of), whose clever shortcuts and plans to solve complex problems often work in hilarious ways but are just as likely to backfire due to quirky character intervention and plain poor luck.
His prized tool is duct tape, which he invokes more often than MacGyver did, often with dubious results.
Check out the world of Possum Lake and laugh along with Red and his friends.

Red Green Show Segments
Each episode of the Red Green Show would have a basic plot, with a problem to solve or some event about to befall the Possum Lake community. Like a sitcom, this would be resolved by the end of the episode.
What was unique for the show was how the story would be interlaced with regular segments not involving the story (or loosely inspired by it), that showcased Red's building ability (or lack thereof), and added some color from the cast of characters.
Adventures with Bill - Filmed as silent black and white home movies, Red narrates as Bill tries to engage in some new activity, often getting injured in the process. Red is often present to assist, although he's rarely much help and often manages to get Bill injured, or at least doesn't prevent him from getting mutilated in a variety of ways. Although violent, Bill's injuries are portrayed in a three stooges manner of slapstick farce, and as his injuries are never permanent, Bill always comes back for more.
The Experts - An opportunity for Red and others to answer fan mail, usually giving hilarious and generally unfollowable advice (or at least it wouldn't be wise to do so).
Handyman Corner - Red's complex, zany solutions to everyday issues, often involving the power of duct tape in copious quantities. Always finishes with his most sage advice - "If the women don't find you handsome, they should at least find you handy".
North of Forty - Red gives advice to older, generally married men about life and everything while he ties flys. Gives the show a pro-guy stance while adding some self-deprecation at the same time, all for laughs. Ends with the supportive coda - "Remember, I'm pulling for you. We're all in this together."
The Possum Lodge Word Game - Red and another member of the cast will play "word of the day" game where Red must get his friend to say the word by giving clues, much like Password. The player will always give wrong answers to the clues, usually in the form of humorous views into that character's psyche. Inevitably, Red manages to get his partner to say the word, usually through sheer dumb luck and by accident. Red and his various partners have never lost the game, despite the general dimness of the entire cast.
Show's End/Possum Lodge Meeting - The show always ends with a call (a wildly woinking boar/pig) for all the men to join the Possum Lodge Meeting. Red ties up the end of the show's plot, gives a message to his wife, and leaves his parting advice - "Keep your stick on the ice". The cast descends into the cellar to commence the meeting where we get to hear the Official Motto and Man's Prayer.
