Do you love red lipstick?

I love red lipstick and this love started early. My yiayia used to watch me when I was little and before going to the store, she'd put on lipstick. I would beg to be included and she realized I was serious - I wanted to wear lipstick too! Her favorite color was a bright red - and red shades have since become my favorites too. I thought I'd create a page honoring this wonderful lipstick color. :)

This is my favorite red lipstick color. As soon as I put it on I instantly feel refreshed and put together. Pressed for time in the morning? How to Mix Your Own Red Lipstick

Personalize Your Lipstick by Mixing

There's no better way to come up with your own unique shade by mixing. Here are some tips.
  1. Color too light? I hate that! I like dark red lipstick, not light - the light shades don't go with my coloring. It's an easy fix, too. Just add a touch of brown or mocha with a lip brush.
  2. Color too dark? Maybe you prefer light red lipstick - not dark. Sometimes I'm not in the mood for heavier colors, for instance when it is hot it. It's an easy fix too - just add some light pink to the lipstick.

More tips on mixing lipstick color

You can either mix them on your lips right out of the tube or mix them on a pallete tray like the painters use and blend it with a lip brush. Or if you don't have one of those trays, use strips of waxed or parchment paper.
