Red Alarm Clocks For High Energy and Vitality

Red alarm clocks naturally imply high energy and action. Red stop lights, stop signs, fire hydrants, and fire trucks are all in the color red to demand our attention!

A red alarm clock, then, is a natural. It is a great reminder to wake up with attention and enthusiasm! Years ago, my husband required our young children to wake up and shout "Enthusiasm!" I can still hear my little pre-school daughter saying sleepily, "'Fusiasm, Daddy, 'Fusiasm". He was their personal red alarm clock, for sure!

In fact, Mac users can even get a little red alarm clock that plays itunes right on your computer screen.

How did your parents wake you in the mornings?

Top Sellers in Alarm Clocks

I can easily remember our dad throwing a cup of cold water on our faces if we did not wake up quickly! Not fun! That did not have to happen often to be effective! And I remember Mama singing a little tune about "Good morning, Merry Sunshine! How did you wake so soon? You scared the little birds away and shined away the moon!" What do you remember about waking up as a child? How do you wake your children?

These red clocks are too fun. I actually don't remember much as a child but I do remember I had a clock as a teenager.

My mom woke me every morning with the news that breakfast was ready. It was a shock to my system when I started college and didn't have her morning wake ups.
Love your red clocks! Something about ordinary things in red versions (like coffee pots or mixers or alarm clocks) just makes me happy!

We would get a cold face cloth if we did not move, however I have had my alarm clock similar to the extra loud one you show! Which I have had for...shhh....about 20 years, and it is still LOUD!

We had one bathroom, so there was a routine. My dad got up first, then he'd wake me up - or at least tried. I needed to stick to the routine so everyone got their turn in the bathroom (there were 6 of us), but I hated mornings. The 'cold water' trick was threatened often, and used twice, before I got the message! Today I'm retired, seldom need an alarm clock, and could sleep as long as I wanted -- and for some strange reason I am now wide awake by 5:30 - 6:00 AM every day! Go figure.

    A cute and 'wide-awake' lens. 5*

My dad, a veteran of The Citadel and WW11, woke us up mimicking reveille, the traditional bugle "wake up" call in the military, on his thumb... If our response wasn't immediate, anticipating the following "whack" on our backsides provided the incentive to move fast. Later, my 4 a.m. start time for my paper route, required an obtrusive, buzzing alarm clock that would wake the dead... Ohhh I hated that thing! On the other hand when early rising was not essential and Mama woke us up, it was a gentile, loving back massage with a soft cooing message to wake up sleepyhead... We would "play possum" with our eyes closed and a large smile to enjoy that as long as possible. I've spent most of my life rising early for paper routes, scouts, the military and business and I can tell you one of my favorite memories is... having Mama wake us up!

Great looking lens, Joan! Mom would wake me up with a firm shake to my arm at 4:30 AM so that I could be awake to get breakfast for my brothers, wake them, prepare their lunches, and get us all off to school and that started at around age 10. In all fairness, Mom had a 1 1/2 hour drive to work and I was the big sister. I still have fond memories of making baloney sandwiches for my brothers and drawing pictures with the mustard on them. I should ask them if they ever opened their sandwich to see my little hearts, smiles, and designs.

I remember that cold water in my face on too many a morning. Whew! I also remember mom singing that happy song. We have one child who is not a morning person and one who wakes up singing. That made for some interesting mornings when both were living at home. I just love this lens. A true niche, for sure and you made it so personal. Amazing Joan!

I was woken up by my Mum - she would speak loudly when telling me to get out of bed and ready for school but she never yelled. In retrospect she was pretty nice about the way she would wake me up out of bed although at the time - I didn't appreciate anyone interfering with my sleep.
