Red coffee maker is all about the "look and feel"

20-30 years ago, if I would to write about look and feel of coffee makers -I am nuts! But, with money being spent on theme and design of kitchen, look and feel of coffee machines is a key.

And that is where red coffee maker comes in, a color that is both attractive and easy to blend into almost any surroundings -red. I would keep adding modules and introduction of good looking machine, hope that you would find one that fits your theme and taste.

Oh, talking about taste, there is this Coffee Lovers Ebook that has tons of information on coffee, and some coffee recipe, you might want to check it out. Is free, so no harm right?

Why talk about Red at all?

IS there no other color? Why do we not talk about blue or even white coffee maker but red coffee maker? There are many research that have shown that red is a more preferred color in many occassions.

This meant to say that even if the color of the machins is not able to blend into the theme of your kitchen, a red coffee maker is easily forgiven.

We know red is eye catching and if you have a new coffee machine in your household, the last thing you want is to let it go unnoticed. However, the other important reason is the culture behind red.

It is associated with good things. It denots purity, joy and celebration. And, I guess being part of culture, people might even just purchase a coffee machine just for the "luck" factor.

I am still trying to find that study that shows red is the color that is the easiest to blend with all other colors, perhaps in my next update...

Why the "look and feel" is important for a coffee machine?

Coffee is a different thing to different people, but one cannot deny that the exterior of how a coffee machine looks like is important to the purchasing decision of a consumer. Think about the recent coffee maker launch, say Tassimo Bosch.

Do you know how much effort they have invested into how the look and feel of that machine should be? In fact, there are machines that are designed by The B&W team, and won some international design awards.

All these goes to show how important companies know the "look and feel" is for a coffee machine. But, why the color red? It is difficult to say, but according to the stats, red is the most popular color among folks choosing coffee machine.

Designers have said that red is the easiest color to blend into any setting, and you would have thought that it is either black or white right?

I think, it has to do with red being very "flashy" and is sort of an eye catcher, now who do not want to have a piece of good looking machine right?

So, "look and feel" is important because the consumers are trying to blend it into their kitchen decor and companies are spending money on marketing telling consumers that it is important. Yeah, I know it sounds ironic, or even oxymoron, but that is really the case...

Okay, I've spent hundreds of dollars on different coffee makers over the past two years... I've tried pod brewers (too strong), Mr. Coffee's (horrible taste), old fashioned percolaters and more. I wanted something fast, easy to use with a big enough cup for my morning coffee. This fits the bill perfectly. It comes with a 15 ounce travel mug with a tight lid that doesn't allow leaking when I'm at the computer. It's very easy to clean and after a few weeks of use I don't get any "silt" at the bottom of the cup as another reviewer complained. The permanent filter works for me and this brews a great cup of coffee from all types of grounds.
