With Halo 3 out on the market and many other graphic intensive games soon to be released, many of us gamers are facing some pretty costly repairs. Many of us are already trying to dead with this problem and our only answer has been Microsoft or very costly repairs at the shop.

Of Course, Microsoft has been doing a lot to keep their customers happy, so if you have never opened your console or had it for less than 90 days, and you do not mind the shipping costs, you should give them a call. If you have opened the console and it is no longer under warrantee then you are in the same boat as I am.

Wouldn't it be nice to get off this boat and fix the xbox 360 ourselves? Click Here!

How to Give your Xbox 360 the Red Lights of Death

what you should not do

Having an Xbox 360 is awesome but it can also be a hassle. Like any other gaming console, there are bugs and glitches and sometimes they fix themselves, sometimes they do not. Most of the time simple error messages or dirty disc errors can be fixed easily by turning off the console and letting it cool for awhile, but with many more graphically intensive games coming out there are going to be some bigger problems.

It is important to know what you should not do unless you want to give your Xbox 360 the Red Lights of Death.

  • The Towel Method. This method claims that overheating the Xbox will correct the Red Ring of Death. Unfortunately, overheating the Xbox is what got the Red Ring to begin with.

  • Hitting your Xbox. Another common belief that your Xbox is a washing machine.

  • Blowing hot air into the box. Doing this will apparently cool the overheated system.

Repair Shop, Microsoft, or Buy Another Game

psst...buy another game!

Obviously none of the above methods are going to fix your problem (though they might cause a few more). You have the option of going to Microsoft (if this option is available to you) or you can bring it in to the local Repair Shop. There is nothing wrong with the repair shop, of course, except that you will end up paying at least $100 - $140 dollars for even a minor problem are there is No Guarantee that it will not happen again!

Ever wonder how the repair guy knows how to fix your Xbox 360? Where did he get this magic information that gives him the power to not only fix your machine but take your money? From a book!

Let's face it, the repair guy isn't going to spend so much time on your machine that it is worth that 100 bucks. More than likely it will take him a half hour (that's all it takes me) to have it fixed and there is NO WAY his time is worth $200 per hour. So what's the answer? Simple.

GET THE BOOK HE HAS! OR better yet, get a book that's better, covers more "minor problems", and includes video tutorials to help you along.

Within a half hour you could be up and gaming and still have that 100 Bucks to buy a new game (which your console can now run). Click Here to Find out How!
