Character development begins with opening your mind to new ideas and standards. Fist by challenging your current values or even finding out what values you have lived your life by up to this point and make an honest decision to change.

TRUSTWORTHINESS
Honesty is one of the fist attributes looked at in any area of interaction with people.When one lacks honesty all confidence is lost and doubt is the automatic assumption in that person. When one shows honesty all other characters will cling to you.

reliable will not only build confidence with others but will also bring opportunities to you in abundance. So do you what you say you'll do.

A simple phrase for trustworthiness would be to have the courage to do the right thing. Standing up for what you know to be right will build a reputation that people will follow.

Be RESPECTFUL
Trusting others with respect will naturally exchange respect back to you
Follow the golden rule and respect will be yours.

Tolerance of others opinions and differences shows respect to individuals. Their is a difference in disagreeing with someone and showing respect in that disagreeance, opposed to just flat out telling some they are wrong and shouldn't believe the way I do.

Being considerate of the feelings of others would closely follow this character of
respect. Validating others feelings shows you are one who cares and wants to listen. Something that all individuals crave.

The way one deals with anger, insults and disagreements reveals alot about ones character. Being able to handle such situations respectfully has power in and of it's self.

RESPONSIBILITY
Do what your are supposed to get done. "get'em done".

Persevere your way through responsibilities as well as challenges. Simply keep on trying while you improve your effectiveness.

Always do your best with what you have been give. It will bring a sense of healthy pride into your posture.

Self-control weighs heavy on you ability to make decisions without having your emotions take control. Emotional intelligence is considered more valuable than your IQ.

Self-disciplined is the difference maker when it comes to those who are successful and those are not. Think before you act and Consider the consequences at stake. And most importantly be accountable for your choices.

FAIRNESS
Take a look at all points of consideration when you have to point the blame. Don't take advantage of people for in due time people will be your some of your greatest help.

Being open minded and listening to others, doors will open up to you that never would have been possible alone.

Play by the rules and you will never have to doubt the decisions made. It's just now worth having bad decisions catch up with in the end.

CARING
Kindness to others is the simplest of qualities to show to all human beings. Praise those who deserve it weather in public or private.

Any fool can criticize and complain and most fools do. Never be afraid to forgive others. It takes character and self-control to be understanding and forgiving.

Help people who stand in need. If you can give of your self or substance give freely.

CITIZENSHIP
Step up and do your part to make your school and community better. Stay informed on your countries issues and voice your opinion by voting.

Be a neighbor who is dependable and accountable. Obey the laws of the land and respect those in authority who truly deserve it.

Be a contributor in protecting the environment and recycle what you can. Respect what has been so freely given to us.
