Reducing Anxiety and Panic
Your Starting Points
As I have said earlier, we can all suffer from anxiety from time, to time, but when we are fearful of our next potential attack, we need to realise we have a problem. The good news is that whilst there are medical solutions to the problem, there are also non medical options available to you, and I highly recommend you look at those as well.
Naturally, whenever you are in any doubt, it is always a great idea to check with your medical professional.
However, it should be noted that in additional to medical options, ther are programs that exist that have had substantial success in assisting people to understand, and thus, control their anxiety.
Please note that I will use the terms anxiety and panic interchangeably.
One of the methods that have been found very effective in controlling panic attacks is the control of your breathing.
It can be beneficial to sit down ansd analyse the reasons for your various attacks.
Are thy the result of a specific and stressful even in your life, or are they entirely random?
How do you feel about life in general?
These questions are designed to help you better understand the causes, or triggers of anxiety in your life.
Breathing- for Control of Anxiety and Panic
It has been found that many people are able to control,a nd reduce their anxiety by applying the correct breathing techniques. This is essentiallly about slowed breathing, and doing so in a deliberately determined way.An example would be that as soon as an atack is felt coming on, you deliberately count down from 30 seconds down to zero.
This can be in the form of 30 seconds...
29 seconds...
28 seconds...
breathing slowing down...
27 seconds...
My breathing is slowing, and more controlled...
26 seconds...
and so on, till you reach...
2 seconds...
My breathing is stable, slow, and controlled...
1 seconds...
I am breathing rhythmically, and slowly...
All is controlled...
I am more relaxed... and so on

The good news is that for many people, with the application of specific techniques, you can start to overcome your problem, and get your life back.
There are always solutions, and possibilities.
I have found, in m experience, that just slowing my breathing, as well as maintaining the ability to reflect, really think, has allowed me to practice slowing down, and seeing theings more as they are, rather than imagining the worst scenario.
Again, I do understand it is easy to say in many cases, but trully, I come from a point of experience.
The best thging to do is to give the impending feeling of panic a time limit. I like to use around 30 seconds, and thenm through controlled breathing, send it away. This way, I know that I am in control, rather than the condition, controlling me.
This is a vital point to know, and realise.
