How to Fight the Rising Cost of Gasoline Prices and How to Reduce Gas Consumption

So what is the #1 Way to Reduce Gasoline Consumption and Fight Rising Gas Prices?
Adopt the way of life of such groups as the Amish. Ok, now since 99% of us will not do this then we must look for other "best" ways for us. At the end of my article I give you my #1 pick as the best way.

How to Fight the Rising Cost of Gasoline Prices and How to Reduce Gas Consumption

According to Wikipedia, in economics, consumerism refers to economic policies placing emphasis on consumption. In an abstract sense, it is the belief that the free choice of consumers should dictate the economic structure of a society (cf. Producerism, especially in the British sense of the term). [Citation needed]

Notice again the statement: it is the belief that the free choice of consumers should dictate the economic structure of a society". It is truly our free choice of consuming mass quantities of gasoline and that has dictated to us what we will be willing to pay for it.

The big oil companies are just that: companies. As with any company, to stay in business, it needs consumers of its products. That is where we come in. We simply do not have to give them our hard earned money unless we want to, at least not totally. (Communities such as the Amish probably wonder what all the anger is about!).

There are plenty of things you can do to help reduce gas consumption thus fighting rising fuel costs (plus it allows you to do your part to help save the environment). Majority of these ways are common sense and can be made new habits by implementing them into your regular driving routine and should not take long for these new habits to become second nature.

Here are Ways to Reduce Your Gasoline Consumption and Fight Rising Gas Prices:

Reduce your driving. Don't drive if you don't have to. Basic you say? Try it and find out how hard this old habit is to break. But once you do, you are free.
Think about how many small and unimportant trips you make where you only drive less than a mile or so. We are not talking about when you are going to the store for some major shopping when you need to drive your car. But if you are just going to pick up a couple of items, then why not walk? Or ride a bike? Think of other areas where you can reduce trips or combine trips.

To those that have to drive, minimize the amount of time you may be idling, like chatting with friends or waiting for someone, etc. Turn your engine off if you are going to be sitting a couple of minutes or more. On take off, accelerate moderately and evenly. No reason to "stomp on it". You are just wasting money and for what again? Also, stay near recommended speeds, coast when possible, refrain from using the air conditioner, keep tires properly inflated, maintain a clean air filter, keep car properly maintained and reduce the amount of clutter that weighs you car down.

Resist the urge of the convenience of the drive-thru. Park your car and walk in the restaurant or business (good exercise too). Remember do not allow the engine to idle. Gas is consumed and wasted each time the drive-thru is used. This is a total and unnecessary waste of resources and money.

Make use of carpooling if you work instead of driving alone plus you get the diamond or HOV lanes with less traffic!

Use the public transit system of buses and trains for work and shopping or even visiting friends when feasible.

Bicycle or walk (repeated because it is that important).

Employers that offer telecommuting as an option take advantage of this and replace your driving for working from home when possible.

We here in America must now learn how to reduce our own individual gas consumption as a way of fighting the rising cost of gasoline prices by our desire to change our current living habits. So many peoples in other parts of the world have been living these principles and more for years. We here in America have just gotten so used to paying so little for our gasoline. So now is the time to change.
The next few months of June, July and August are critical months to scale back the consumption. So many outdoor activities draw us out. A weekend out now is more expensive all around. Look to do more activities close to home. Or even around the home. Even vacation closer to home. Every little bit is going to help you reduce gasoline waste thus saving you money and helping the environment and economy.

My personal pick is working from my home. Learn how to work from home and eliminate the daily drive of gasoline consumption and waste of money like as do by visiting our website at letrogroup
