    In some cases using static text fields, in stead of dynamic text fields, can also help reducing the compiled swf file.

    Rowi, you are so right! I saved 50% file size by having switching to static text fields. Had no idea that mattered. Thank you. Best, Kasper

    You can Drastically reduce the size of an Image by using the Tracing Feature to convert Raster Image to Vector in Flash.
    Steps:
    1. Select the Image( that you have imported to Library) from the Library Panel and Drag it to the Stage.
    2. Select the Image
    3. Goto Modify --> Bitmap --> Trace Bitmap
    In the Trace Bitmap Dialog Box
    Select
    Color Threshold --> 100
    Minimum Area --> 10 Pixels
    Curve Fit --> Very Tight
    Corner Threshold --> Many Corners.
