Tips On How You Can Reduce Wrinkles
Who doesn't want to reduce wrinkles?
Pretty much everyone I know over the age of 30 has an interest in keeping their skin looking younger and there are many ways to do it that don't involve expensive and painful surgery.
Believe it or not, eating right and drinking plenty of water can go a long way to improving the appearance of your skin. Including a lot of antioxidant rich fruits and vegetables is another way you can have younger looking skin without surgery.
Another interesting way to reduce wrinkles is by doing face exercises. Sounds funny huh? But some people swear by it! Sure you might feel silly making all those faces and your friends and family might laugh at you, but if facial exercises for wrinkle reduction gets rid of some of those lines and prevents new ones from cropping up, I think you'll be having the last laugh!
There are plenty of creams and new innovations in skin care almost daily so if you are interested in soft smooth skin, you'll want to keep up with what's happening so that you can determine the best way for you to battle those wrinkles.
Some Ways You Can Reduce Wrinkles
SUNSCREEN
It doesn't matter if you're 18 or 68 it is vital for women to protect their skin from the damage of the sun. Many years ago the dangers of overexposure to the sun were not known but now it is the responsibility of everyone to safeguard the sensitive skin on their face from the harsh damage caused by the UV rays from the sun.
Your skin is exposed to the sun no matter what the weather so use a moisturizer or foundation with a sunscreen that has an SPF of 15 or higher every day. UVA and UVB rays contribute to wrinkles and burns not to mention the possibility of skin cancer.
MOISTURIZER
As skin ages it tends to become drier. Dry skin will show more wrinkles than well hydrated skin. Moisturizers create a barrier that keeps the skin from losing essential water.
The moisturizers available today are far more luxurious than the cold creams of yesterday. Starting a moisturizing routine will help your skin retain hydration which contributes to a supple texture reducing the appearance of fine lines.
Moisturizers also prepare the skin for the application of makeup which will apply smoother and create a fine finish without cracking or flaking.
ANTIOXIDANTS
Pollution in the air and chemicals in our food release free radicals into our bodies. Free radicals break down the collagen and elastin in your skin which leads to wrinkles and sagging. Using antioxidants in your facial products or in supplements will protect the collagen and elastin which keeps skin firm and supple.
AHA (Alpha Hydroxy Acids)
AHA comes in many forms, from store bought creams to dermatologist applied formulations. The AHA sloughs off skin in what is commonly called a 'peel'. A mild formula used at home can treat fine lines while harsher peels can be performed during a short office visit.
NUTRITION and HYDRATION
As many people are aware, what goes inside will show on the outside. The best prevention from aging skin is to provide your body with a proper diet of healthy fresh foods as well as sufficient hydration. Alcohol and caffeine cause dehydration and should be limited.
Drinking plenty of water throughout the day will improve the texture of your skin and fight dry skin. Healthy foods can provide the vitamin C and E that are so rich in antioxidants. Add to this a good nights sleep and the steps noted above and you are on your way to getting the fresh, vibrant skin you desire!

Natural Skin Care
Mix 2 tbsp oatmeal, 4 tbsp plain yogurt, 1 tbsp lemon juice, 1 tbsp chopped parsley, and 1 teaspoon olive oil together. Massage into the skin, rinse off after about 4/5 minutes. This is great for oily or irritated skin. You can put a handful of oatmeal into the toe of your old pantyhose and use it to scrub your whole body, too.
Mask to treat wrinkles.
Beat 1 egg into 2 tbsp of milk. Wash your skin first then gently dab this concoction on. Rinse with warm water after 4/5 minutes. Add moisturizer.
If brown spots trouble you, use a vitamin C lotion under your make-up. This will help to neutralize free radicals that sabotage your skin after exposure to sunlight. Revlon has a sunscreen that contains vitamin C in it already.
Copper peptide is one of the newest patented ingredients that works against sagging. It is an antioxidant thought to stimulate the production of collagen and elastin in the skin.
Neutrogena has a range of non-soap, skin-care products available. One of them is Neutrogena Healthy Skin Face Lotion that combines vitamins A, C and E with alpha-hydroxy acids to create a light lotion for delicate skin. Cetaphil is a good moisturizer for delicate skins and can be used on all parts of the body, while Lac-Hydrin 5 is excellent for scaly patches and dry, rough skin.
From about age 30 the skin's natural ability to get rid of dead skin is impaired and this makes it look dull. Exfoliating your skin regularly, will keep it in good condition and help to create that translucent look. Look for products that contain alpha-, beta-, and poly-hydroxy acids. They will help slough off the dead skin, bringing fresh new cells to the surface.
