Imagine you are standing on the deck of a great sailing ship; a warm wind is caressing the ship. You float along in this calm blue ocean. Blue-green waves lap up against the sides of the boat, almost placing you in a state of tranquility. Your pulse begins to slow. Suddenly, you see a tall red wave pass across the stem of your ship followed by many more red waves.
Red is the color that we pay the most attention to. It is the warmest and most energic color in the spectrum. Red evokes a fight-or-flight response, raises your blood pressure and makes the heart beat faster. Red is the color of purity, the purity of your message, the message that you and your company need to be seen, heard and understood.
So many times your message is lost in the vast blue ocean of messages.
