The Detroit Red Wings - Stanley Cup Champs
My favorite hockey team. Many peoples favorite hockey team. They play hard but fair. They play with respect and dignity. Players take salary cuts to play on this team. I can't say enough about the organization that is the Detroit red wings. Included in my red wings page are alot of cool red wing merchandise including tickets! from eBay. Voice your opinion on the best team out there in my NHL best team poll.
Anyways back to the topic the Detroit Red Wings...11 Stanley cups, 5 in the last 10 seasons. Have the record OUT OF ANY NATION SPORT for most consecutive playoff appearances at 15. Some would argue that they are the best franchise in modern history....and well others simply can't stand them. This page isn't for those people!! I made this page for red wing fans only although I have put in place below a poll for who you think is the best in the NHL these days. I want to hear everyone's opinion in the blubs spot plus any additional comments or suggestions are greatly appreciated!

- Thanks for checking out my lens Dave!! I very much appretiate it! I have neglected my lenes of late since I started my online company through godaddy.com which I also made a lens about (although it needs a LOT of more imput from myself and I will get these darned lenses up to date it just comes down to so many hours in a day and with this economy and my disability I have to work twice as hard to get chit done ya feel me? :P The wings were robbed of a stanley cup by guess who? THE REFS!! When the penquins had over half a period on the power play I couldve ripped the tv off the wall.....but I think we all know who the better team is there....defensemen that arent sure with the puck in their own end and loose the series for us. Has happened the year before we won it (Lilja) and the year after (Stuart)....were is a hugely knowleadgeable player like Chris Chelios when ya need em..on the freakin bench i say if chelly wasnt injured our couching staff and little help from the refs lost da CUP!

- I just love what you have done with your lense! I too am a huge fan of our Detroit Red Wings. Born in the D, they have been my favorite pro sports team since I can remember. My favorite player for The Red Wings is steve yzerman, but since he has retired yet will always be remembered, my favorite active players for the wings are both Marion Hossa, and Pavel Datsyuk. It is truly amazing what this team can do, and that makes them so fun to watch! I too have created a new lense that I have dedicated to wingnuts like us, just for comments and stories, with a little news thrown in. Well, gotta go the game is back on! Dave
