When reviewing treadmills, I like to find one standout feature, a feature or set of features that makes this piece of fitness equipment a bit different from the rest.
On the Reebok 9500 ES treadmill, I actually had a hard time deciding on one feature so I'll pick both the intensity profile and the 3.25 CHP Commercial-grade Motor.
Yes, don't get me wrong, I like the idea that this treadmill has a built in TV in the console but I think that the upgraded motor is much more important.
The motor on the 9500 ES is not just a 3.25 motor, but it's commercial grade plus it's a CHP. A CHP in a motor CHP stands for Continuous Horse Power.
When the motor product specifications shows a particular horse power, this is based on the user not always keeping the treadmill at the highest speed, so a 3.25 hp motor means that it will give you 3.25 hp but it's not meant to stay at it's maximum level for long periods of time.
Meanwhile a CHP motor can continually hit those higher levels without jerking, pulling or overloading the motor. As the motor is the life blood of the treadmill I was impressed the this treadmills heavy duty motor.
