Delicious & Healthy Infused Water

I love water; I find it delicious, refreshing and the perfect way to quench my thirst. I drink a lot of water and was looking for ways to add variety to it when I when then I discovered making infused waters. If you've ever been to a spa, you've probably been served some variation of an infused water. The concept of infused water is simple. It is merely the combination of fruit, veggies and/or herbs "marinated" in water and chilled for the flavors to combine. And besides tasting good, it looks pretty!

Water is so essential to good health. It helps hydrate the skin, flushes out toxins in the body and even plays a role in weight loss. It is recommended that a person drinks at least eight 8-ounce glasses of water a day and most people never meet that recommendation. Many people find drinking water to be bland and boring, but it doesn't have to be! You can easily add a little pizzazz to your water by infusing it with tasty herbs, fruits and vegetables and this lens will show you how!

How to Make Infused Waters

Making infused waters couldn't be easier! Cut up the ingredients to be infused into the water, fill a pitcher with cold water, add the cut-up ingredients to the pitcher of water (if you are using an infusion pitcher, add the cut-up ingredients to the infusion rod), place in the refrigerator for 2-8 hours to chill and let the flavors infuse, serve and enjoy!

When serving, I always like to add ice and a little garnish of the ingredients to my glass. The recipes below are guidelines to ingredients, please adjust amounts accordingly to suit your personal taste!
