Refreshing Your Life
Ranked #14,986 in Culture & Society, #304,120 overall
Do you feel like your life is DRY, BORING, or MEANINGLESS?
With so many things going on all at one time its difficult to stay energized and fulfilled. We work 40, 50, 60, or more hours a week, we have to get the groceries, take the kids to soccer, baseball, basketball, not to mention trying to get some sleep! While your list of to-do's may look a lot like that one, or it may look completely different, the fact is still the same: You are left at the end of it all feeling empty, drained, and wanting for something more. What is it that you are looking for? How is it that your life can be so full of activity but yet so VOID of life? And when you have reached the point where you feel as though much of what you do is just an endless string of meaninglessness, where do you go? What do you do when you're feeling tired and drained, but there's no time or money to take a vacation; or better yet - when you feel this way right after getting back from a vacation? Well if you've ever asked yourself any of those questions YOU HAVE COME TO THE RIGHT PLACE. On this page you will find a series of tools that you can use to bring meaning back to your life. I would encourage anyone that is feeling dry, empty, or bored to spend time on this page. Use this lens to relax, get refreshed, renew your mind, and learn to prosper and succeed. You only have one life to live - now go ahead and live it!
Relax and Refresh
Sometimes when life is stressful it helps just to listen to some good music. Here are some songs that will help you feel refreshed. Take a minute and let them minister to you!
Surround yourself with Life
Listening to music can have a profound effect on the way you think, and your overall attitude. In fact, music has been scientifically proven to have positive effects on the mind and brain of human beings and has even been proven to produce positive chemical reactions in the brain that help reduce toxic thoughts! Philippians 4:8-9 says: "And now, dear brothers and sisters, one final thing. Fix your thoughts on what is true, and honorable, and right, and pure, and lovely, and admirable. Think about things that are excellent and worthy of praise. Keep putting into practice all you learned and received from me--everything you heard from me and saw me doing. Then the God of peace will be with you." Listening to uplifting and encouraging songs is one way to practically implement this command in your everyday life. Don't allow you mind to be at the mercy of the many distractions that surround our life and take the initiative to surround yourself with life by playing uplifting music everywhere you can! Here you will find some music albums that feature all the songs on this page and much more.
Renew Your Mind
There's a battle going on and you are right in the middle of it! There are so many thoughts that come into our mind on a daily basis some of them welcomed and some of them not! In addition our mind can be very powerful, and at times we get into patterns of thinking that consistently lead us down the wrong roads. Romans 12:2 says: "Don't be conformed to the patterns of this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your minds so that you can figure out what God's will is-what is good and pleasing and mature." A practical way for you to begin the process of renewing your mind is to begin studying and filling your mind with a knowledge of God, his plan, his thoughts, and his views. What does God think about you? What are God's promises for you? How can you live day-by-day with Gods strength and peace? These answers are out there and I promise you if you look for these answers you will find them and even more! Matthew 7:7-8 says: "Ask and it will be given to you; seek and you will find; knock and the door will be opened to you. For everyone who asks receives; the one who seeks finds; and to the one who knocks, the door will be opened." Below are some teachings to get you started; I encourage you to listen to some or all of them and let God minister and refresh you through them!
Prosper and Succeed
Meditate on God's Word
In our lives we are constantly pulled in a variety of different directions. But how do we know that what we are doing is worth it? Or how do we know if all of the activities we participate in are leading us to a good place? The answer can be found in Psalms 1:1-3 which says: Blessed is the man who does not walk in the counsel of the wicked or stand in the way of sinners or sit in the seat of mockers. But his delight is in the law of the LORD, and on his law (the precepts, the instructions, the teachings of God) he meditates day and night. He is like a tree planted by streams of water, which yields its fruit in season and whose leaf does not wither. Whatever he does prospers." That sounds like a pretty straight-forward process doesn't it? If you want to ensure that you are headed to a place of prosperity and success God says that we have to make sure we know his words! Meditation as defined by Webster is to engage in contemplation or reflection, to focus one's thoughts on: reflect or ponder over. To plan or project in the mind. A practical way for us to begin to meditate on Gods law is to take some time everyday to read something from his word. There are numerous books available for us to read that will illuminate, expound upon, and/or help us to understand and apply Gods word to our lives. Below are some books just to get you started. Don't let your life be ruined by failing to get to know God (Hosea 4:6), but take some time and allow God to show you his path to abundant life!
Let YOUR Journey Begin
No other book, movie, or song can ever refresh you more then the Bible. In this book you will find the answers to every question you could ever have, and to any problem that you ever experience. If you will take the time to read it, God will meet you wherever you are and when God speaks you will never leave feeling empty. Let God change your life, begin YOUR journey today!
