Regia Marinho is a wonderfully creative and expressive abstract artist that I am happy to say is part of my personal art collection! Thanks to eBay, I discovered her beautiful artwork in June 2002 when I made my first acquisition. Her art hangs in my home office.
To describe my appreciation for art you would say I am an eclectic. I enjoy art that is bright, bold, colorful, expressionistic and unique -- so that would mean abstract, cubist, expressionistic and impressionistic art. And, that describes Regia Marinho's art to a T!

Regia Marinho (born Fortaleza, CE) is a Brazilian artist, who lives and works in New York, USA.
Regia Marinho's high energy abstract compositions rely on her intuitive sense of timing and spontaneity of form and colour. Regia's paintings combine painterly marks in vivid pinks, fiery reds, earthy yellows and intense blues with free flowing doodled line, hinting at narrative and alluding to the figure.
Regia's art is this gestural-abstract-figurative-colorful never-ending story full of characters, full of emotions. It's a beautiful symphony of lines and dots and colors. It engages, it inspires and it's fun!

Born earth, school, university, artist since 1982, exhibitions since 1986, lives and works in New York, NY. Regia draws, sketches and doodles (the distinctions are hard to make) the way most people think: nonstop, unconsciously, with episodes of sudden, intense focus. Her drawings are airy, light, and abstract. Regia considers herself to be an abstract expressionist painter, using a multilayered `lines and splash' style filled with vigorous movement and rich color. The result is startling and bold -- a direct expression of her unconscious. --Regia Marinho.

The News Says It Raining was acquired in July 2002 on eBay. It took me 14 bids to win this!
This is an original abstract drawing that is 9 inches x 12 inches and signed and dated by the artist. Medium: ink and watercolor on paper. Ground: Borden & Riley archival white paper. Style: abstract irregular forms, expressionist, regianism.
It was created in New York and acquired directly from Regia. It is signed on the front REGIA and on the reverse New York Studio. It came with a certificate of authenticity.
