How does this software work? Registry Toolkit will scan every registry entry and will make sure that it points to a valid file. If there are any broken shortcuts, they will be removed. You can also customize your start up programs and remove all those programs that you do not need at startup. That itself can speed up your system to a great extent.
There is also an option called BHO manager which removes unused IE plugins and gives you a faster browsing experience. Browser Helper Object is an addin to Internet Explorer and is linked to Internet Explorer and runs everytime you run Internet Explorer. You can also backup Internet Explorer and restore feature. This helps you if your browser has been infected badly by a malware or spyware. Also you can backup the entire registry as well restore it. Everytime you delete a few errors, Registry Toolkit backs up the the registry. If you face any problems later, all you have to do is to restore your back up. Just doing this will restore your computer to the earlier state it is in.
There is also a program manager that helps you remove programs that were installed previously and remove the clutter that these programs can create which slows your computer. It can also remove any programs that are not removed properly i.e removed properly by the windows add and remove program or by the programs own uninstall option.
Registry Toolkit is totally compatible with Windows Vista and there is a total integration with OS’s security systems.
Registry Toolkit has a very intuitive and a neat interface that is very user friendly. If you are of the hands on type, you can get yr hands dirty by doing a manual scan. You can pick and choose from nearly 13 options , which includes, application paths, fonts, shared files and startup items. Once the scan commences, it updates you real time as to how many errors have been found. Registry Toolkit can clean a system within a minute. The other way out is to choose the scan automatically option. It simply does the job for all the options available. As soon as the scan is completed, the results of the scans and any errors found and where they were found are all displayed. It goes without saying, that for Registry Toolkit to remove the inconsistencies in the Window Registry, you will have to buy the software.
There are other options which allows you to specify if the program should scan at startup or which part of the registry the program should scan for. You can even set a system restore option.
On the whole, Registry Toolkit is a well assembled software with features which are not found in other scanners and fixers. Its fairly quick compared to other softwares and has a very intuitive yet detailed interface
