There is nothing worse than having a persistent pain in your shoulder that will not go away. You try to sleep but every time you move that stabbing pain hits, you try to lift the shopping bags and end up crying out in agony, you try to play with the kids only having retire hurt after just a minute. How to Remedy Shoulder Pain
Out of all the options the doctors gave me the only one that would work would be to go to a physiotherapist as those guys do actually know what they are doing. However i could not afford to see one! The prices were insane and my financial situation was pretty dire and i had no insurance.However, i knew physio's do not do anything special except pass on their knowledge of how to work your body to get the maximum healing and rehabilitation effects. It couldn't be that hard could it?
After a bit of researching on the internet i found a resource that told me EXACTLY how to remedy shoulder pain. Here are a few tips i found worked wonders ...
- Do some stretching before you go to bed - Bend over at the waist then move your hand in little circles from your shoulder. Swing one way, then swing the other. After this stretch the arm up and down and then from side to side. Make sure to hold each stretch for about 20 seconds and only move to the edge of your range of motion ... a gentle pull but not so that it hurts!
- After this apply an ice pack or crushed ice wrapped in a towel or old t-shirt so you do not freeze your skin. This will calm the swelling that may start to occur from the exercise bringing blood into the painful region and dull the pain before you go to sleep. A better sleep also improves healing so is essential!
