The Matrix
I love the movie The Matrix with Keanu Reeves.
I tend to see the world through spiritual eyes. I believe that God speaks to us through movies, books, music,poetry, other people etc. So when I saw the movie The Matrix for the first time I loved it! The message I saw in it was....
When we remember who we are...
We don't have to dodge bullets anymore.
To me the bullets were symbolic of fear. There are only two choices in life to choose.
Ask yourself is this decision based on love or is it based on fear.
In the Matrix you could see that he did not remember who he was for alot of the movie.
But(and this is important for us to remember)when he remembered who he was
when he stood IN THE LIGHT of remembrance of who he was fear(or bullets) could not affect him.
What a great analogy!
Pay attention in your life to messages coming to you...
Remember that when you stand in the light of who you are fear cannot affect you or other people's fear.
How do we get to that place of standing in the light?
That is another topic. But it comes down to knowing thyself which I have referred to in other posts.
Let the universe or God speak to you...
LISTEN.
PAY ATTENTION.

What is in your treasure chest?
Along the way in life we all pick up little treasures, moments that delight us, make our heart sing, make us smile, surprise us, inspire us.What are the treasures you have picked up along the way in your life? Life goes by so quickly as we go about our day.
Take the time to treasure the jewels that come along in your life.
Keep a journal and write down what you find as a treasure each day.
One of my treasures is the Starfish Story by Loren Eisley.
It is easy to find on the internet if you do a search for the Starfish Story.
It was first told to me by one of my spiritual teachers whom is also in
my treasure chest, along with all the people I love, my dogs, hugs etc.
My poem Jewels of Awe is in my treasure chest. I just love this poem.
Jewels Of Awe
Cast a thousand bones into the night
And let loose the chains of boredom
Let me be born into the world of
Enchantment
Repeatedly and without caution
Let my steps take me up stairs
Bearing light
And
Irresistible fruits
Jewels of awe
Remember to notice the treasures in your life!

Dream Into Being
With a stout heart, a mouse can lift an elephant. ~ Tibetan proverb

Your life will reflect the beliefs and thoughts you nurture within you. Plant seeds of a future you will love. If unconscious parts of you are blocking the future you imagine as the seeds of tommorrow, the issues will come up to be healed.
I have done much inner work to arrive at the happiness of my present life.
Do not be afraid of inner work, it can be quite cathartic and freeing.
You may find you need to find forgiveness in your heart, release fears or a myriad of different issues that are unique to you.
When you envision the future you want, life guides you in the process of how to get there.
What seeds are you planting for a life you love?
What you sow, so shall you reap
Plant yourself a beautiful garden

Joy's Birth
From "Journey of A Woman" by Patricia Sanders
I dreamt
I gave birth
To joy
And I fed her
As she grew
Into her fullness
Her smile
Opened hearts
Her presence
Inspired a world
That had forgotten
She existed
She taught many
As she aged
Showing them
That beauty
And love
Peace and happiness
Did not need to be searched for
Or bought
But lived in their own hearts
Where they touched
God's grace

The Collective
From "Reflections of my Soul" by Patricia Sanders
Beauty becomes me
In the mystery of my soul
I hunger for what is not
Touched with the human hand
The mystical revelation
The shaman's song
The connection
We all long for
In this dance of intimacy
The learning
I discover
The many parts that make the whole
Encompassing the heart
Of humanity
In the palm of my hand
I reach the destination
Reborn by this epiphany
That deep down
In the center
Of myself
Is
All others

Be the change you wish to see
There are two ways to live:you can live as if nothing is a miracle;
you can live as if everything is a miracle.
~Albert Einstein
Attitude is everything.
It is the catalyst for change. I have seen this in my own life. When I shifted how I reacted to people, when I changed me, my life changed. At times it requires inner work that is causing the way we react to the world around us. I figured this out in my twenties when I realized that everywhere I went, the issues of my life repeated themselves until the last few years.
What changed for me?

Forgiveness is key
I did alot of work on forgiveness. I meditate quite a bit and am very intuitive. I also prayed. I have found God to be a best friend to me in so many times- good and bad. As I worked on issues of forgiving others who I felt wronged me I had quite an epiphany after asking for God to help me to forgive. I was shown a vision(I get visions often) where I saw the people I needed to forgive and was shown them with the filter of mirrors being removed. I could see them clearly which brought me to the realization there was nothing to forgive. God let me see that they were doing the best they could as I have done my entire life and I realized in that scenario what is there to forgive. I was alsoshown why they made the choice they did thathurt me and I felt compassion in my heart towards this other person freeing me from feeling a need to forgive them. This all came about with rigerous and tenacious work on forgiving. For some reason I was having a difficult time releasing the anger I felt at that time.
Once I did this, my life began to shift. I began to react differently to people around me. I stopped enaging in drama slowly until eventually I felt quite detached from what used to cause me grief. I began to feel gratitude. Many blessings came to me as a result. I then discovered "the secret" to having a happier life. I realized that it was based on my attitude. I have known this since I was a teenager but somehow it never helped me to manifest less drama until I did the inner work that created the outer changes in my life.
If we wish change in our world around us, we have to be the change. If we want peace, we must be peace.
A great prayer I love that applies to this is:
The St. Francis of Assisi prayer
Lord, make me an instrument of Your peace.
Where there is hatred, let me sow love;
where there is injury, pardon;
where there is doubt, faith;
where there is despair, hope;
where there is darkness, light;
and where there is sadness, joy.
O, Divine Master, grant that I may not so much seek to be consoled as to console;
to be understood as to understand;
to be loved as to love;
for it is in giving that we receive; it is in pardoning that we are pardoned;
and it is in dying that we are born to eternal life.

Prayer
The Starfish Story
by Loren Eisley

Starfish
One day a man was walking along the beach when he noticed
a boy picking something up and gently throwing it into the ocean.
Approaching the boy, he asked, "What are you doing?"
The youth replied, "Throwing starfish back into the ocean.
The surf is up and the tide is going out. If I don't throw them back, they'll die."
"Son," the man said, "don't you realize there are miles and miles of beach and hundreds of starfish?
You can't make a difference!"
After listening politely, the boy bent down, picked up another starfish,
and threw it back into the surf. Then, smiling at the man, he said%u2026"
I made a difference for that one."

Creative Journaling
I like to draw sometimes when I journal. The picture is one of my drawings.Journaling is such a useful tool for getting in touch with yourself. My poetry has often been a form of journaling for me. I also journal.
Journaling helps you to heal, clear the way for new inspirations and learn more about you. The more intimate you are with yourself the stronger your ability to be a catalyst for creating your life.
When you feel blessed you increase your blessings
A gratitude journal is a great way to stay light and positive. This is important because when you feel blessed you increase your blessings.In journaling don't just have a gratitude journal. It is a great tool, but so is are a way of expressing myself through journaling. My poetry is another form. Writing your thoughts gets you more in touch with yourself bringing you into a more intimate relationship with yourself. When we are more intimate with ourselves, we become more intimate with others. What you seek in the world outside of you must be found inside of you. You becoming intimate with yourself. If there are parts of you that are not feeling whole or happy, write about it, work your way through it and gently and lovingly nurture those parts of you into a more loving place.
It is said KNOW THYSELF.

This is what journaling does for you. It brings you closer to the goal of knowing thyself. You cannot be clear about what you want if you do not know yourself. Take the time to get to know who you are. Spend time with you. Find out who you are.
Fall in love with you.
YOU ARE WONDERFUL!
Be your own best friend and love who you meet in the mirror.

Love BelongsFrom "Rise and Be Seen" by Patricia Sanders
Love belongs
To the strange and many
The familiar and few
To me and you
Love brings plenty
Love brings a breath
That only lovers know
Softly seducing the burning flame
A touch that ignites a spark
Of recognition
Love belongs
To the strange and many
The familiar and few
To me and you
Love is gentleness
An open heart melting
A newborn baby
In a mother's arms
Softly cooing
The beauty of such innocence
A reminder of our own
Tiny hands embrace ours
Love belongs

Two Ways to Live
There are two ways to live:
you can live as if nothing is a miracle;
you can live as if everything is a miracle.
~Albert Einstein
What colors us

I believe our life colors us by what we have been through. I have not had what I would call an easy life.
In my adulthood I have known grief too many times.
My stepdad died when I was 29 in 1999. I lost a baby I was pregnant with at that time a month before his death. A month after his death I got divorced from my first husband.
In 2001 my dad died of a heart attack. I felt alone in the world after losing both of my fathers, but I do still have my mother who does not live near me at this time.
I have been married to what is now my third husband and the heartbreak of divorce is not easy for me.
I also went through bad marriages.
So, all those things have colored who I am.
This husband I am with now has had two heart attacks and one 5 way bypass open heart surgery. That was very emotional for me as well.
I have a strong connection to God which helps me through my life which is pretty nice now.
My husband and I live in a small town in Oregon where we have two dogs, three chickens and a garden he began growing recently.
