Remote Control Electric Cars for Kids. Their First RC Car Should Be Simple and Fun

This Is An Opportunity to Bond With Your Child

There are many radio controlled cars for kids. They come straight out of the box and are ready to drive. There are rc Trucks, rc Buggies, rc Boats, rc mini or micro cars, etc, the imagination is the limit. Many of these remote control cars are more powerful than the ones we would put together from kits. The servos, the motors, and radio tranmitters are more than adequate for many children.
If your child shows any mechanical or electronic aptitude, by all means get him a vehicle in a kit. They have better gearing, better servos, better motors, etc. But this lens only deals with the radio control toys in a box that a child can play with instantly.

R/C Battery Packs

R/C cars eat up batteries like you would not believe. An average 9.6V battery's charge would last us 8 to 11 minutes of full out racing. These cars use a variety of electic motors. These motors are generally run at top speed, so the batteries run out quickly.
When my brother and me went out to race our cars we would make sure that we had recharged all six battery packs. We also took a car recharger to recharge battery packs as we exhausted the batteries. .
I am always suprised by the complaints by people about how quickly the R/C cars use batteries. Always make sure that you have extra rechargeable batteries or battery packs available. There is nothing worse than listening to an impatient child asking when s/he can use their car, unless it is an impatient adult doing the whining.

Kid Galaxy Radio-Controlled Mega X Morphibian

This is a great vehicle to start the young ones off with driving R/C vehicles. There are children as young as 4 years of age that drive this vehicle. This aggressive, mean machine is full function with deep tread tires that dig up dirt while riding across the terrain. "Morph" it onto the lake, pond or stream and watch water spit up from the tires while twin propellers spin for extra power. Easy to charge over and over with the 9.6V battery that's included. Also requires one 9V battery, not included.

The Micro or Mini Remote

Speed Racer:
Shooting Star Mini Radio Control Car
(1:
64 Scale)

Now you can take the wheel of Racer X's supercharged X9 Shooting Star with this radio-controlled 1:64-scale mini. Part collector's item and part toy, it features easy controls as well as a quick recharging time of less than one minute. It functions on both 27 MHz and 49 MHz signals.
It is excellent that this car can operate on two different frequencies. Not many vehicles out of box can do this. Micro servos and minature motors and surface mount circuit boards make this miniature vehicle fast.
