Usually you want to save the song with the longest length, but if the song winds up having horrible quality and you saved it because it was 1 second longer, you're probably going to get a little frustrated.

The second problem occurs if you have any missing or incorrect song information. With incorrect song information, iTunes will not be able to identify these songs as duplicates and you will be stuck deleting them by hand. But if you library is even half the size of mine than you will definitely have an overwhelming task.
