History of Rendal's Ravings

Rendal's Ravings started out back in the early 90's as a column for the Star Trek fan group Trekadence. The whole purpose was basically just to offer my thoughts on the fandom or group.

Raving Rendal came about a week later when the publisher of the newsletter asked for a pen name for it and on the fly I came up with Raving Rendal. Rendal is what I thought the name of the Red dragon in the ATARI 2600 video games was and since I was going off on things (and could imagine him doing the same) I put the word Raving in front of it.

Jump ahead a bit to where I got introduced to fantasy wrestling. Raving Rendal moved into this taking on my dad's characteristics (6' 4" and 250 pounds) and had Matthew "Moondog" Ulmen (aka me) as both manager and, as the Tower of Power or T.O.P. [phrase tower of power taken from LL CoolJ's Mamma Said Knowck You Out], his tag team partner. He is known for not being the most cohearent person in interviews and rather violent in the ring using whatever it takes to win, or if he looses to insure the other person can't werestle again.

Now to March 2006. While sitting on The FBC chat channel the administrator of the station was talking about needing new shows for the station. Since no one was around the apartment I took a chance and recorded an hour long demo. Jaie signed me up and since then every Tuesday at 12PM Pacific I do a live show which is repeated at 7pm PST that evening. Topics are basically what is on my mind at the time and sometimes my wife Maelynd will co-host with me which makes the show twice as much fun because we play off each other well. Rendal's Ravings has two regular sgments in reading the Thought of the Day and the Bozo Criminal of the Day.
