Green Renewable Energy - Is Future Energy!

With energy costs rising each and every year it is no wonder people are looking for an alternative form of energy. The best alternative is green renewable energy. Green energy is energy produced in ways that have little or no impact on the earth. Why is green so important? If you want to see why then turn on your TV and you will see how the human race has impacted our planet. Our ice caps are melting, our ozone is deteriorating, green house gases are changing our climate and these are just the beginning.
What Is Renewable Energy?

Renewable energy is energy that is generated from natural resources - such as sunlight, wind power, water power - each source is naturally replenished. With fossil fuels becoming more and more expensive and their supply running lower and lower people are searching for alternative means of energy.
What Are The benefits Of Renewable Energy?
Renewable energy increases our local control of energy production, helping to ensure stable prices and increase the security of our energy supply.Renewable energy provides environmental benefits as well, such as helping to improve local air quality and reducing our harmful impact on the land, water and climate system. With continual use renewable energy will help boost local economies through job creation. There are no other energy sources now that can provide all these benefits.
Benefits
•have no or minimal negative effects on the environmental
•will never deplete, these sources will always be available
•helps preserve our environment
•have little or no greenhouse gas emissions
•will always be safe and never burden future generations
•will save you thousands of dollars
•governments will give you incentives to install a renewable source of energy
The downside of conventional energy.
Continued reliance on conventional energy sources such as fossil fuels will bring about a host of environmental, social, and political problems. This in turn will hold us dependent on limited resources(fossil fuels and nuclear power) controlled by a few countries and corporations.

Having Your Own Renewable Energy At Home

Having your own renewable energy at home has many benefits - stated above- but how does the average person install such an expensive system?

There are many ways to go about installing a renewable energy system at your house.
The first decision you have to make is which kind of renewable energy do you want to use.
The two that are most popular are solar panels and wind turbines.
How Solar Panels Work
• Solar cells -known as photovoltaic cells- absorb the sun's light.•Many of these solar cells are often combined in solar panels. The more panels the more energy collected
•Solar energy excites the electrons in the solar cell and electricity is produced
•This electricity is in the form of direct current or DC
•DC power is then transformed through an inverter to alternating current, or AC at 120 Volt
•A small amount of solar energy is lost in this DC to AC conversion but is now ready for distribution to household appliances.

•Connecting to the regular power grid and feeding excess energy through it makes you a contributor to public utility, making you $$.

How Wind Turbines Work
•Essentially wind power is solar energy. The energy contained in the movement of air - wind - is converted into electric energy.•Wind is caught by the blades of the turbine and spin as a result.
•These movements are then transformed by electrical generators into electrical current.
•Wind turbines consist of an alternator connected to a propellor. The wind spins the propellor and the magnets in the alternator produce electricity.
•Wind turbines produce the most electricity. Your turbine needs to be placed at the highest elevation possible.

- In my experience, since I have actually built a diy wind turbine in my backyard, I can say that it generates enough power to cut my electric bills in half. Definitely worth it and I have already seen a return on the investment. If you can do it and have the room, go for it.
