In my experience, since I have actually built a diy wind turbine in my backyard, I can say that it generates enough power to cut my electric bills in half. Definitely worth it and I have already seen a return on the investment. If you can do it and have the room, go for it.

Basically I agree to the poster. But, a swimming pool heat pump is the best choice for heating a pool. It's inexpensive, high-efficient, safe. I would like to recommend a brand "wave", just google it.

We need to be open to the various types of renewable energy depending on our specific environment. 5*

This lens is really informative. I'm into geothermal myself. It's great that you are educating all of us about being eco-friendly!

Our home is set up for passive solar heating plus we use a heat pump with wood stove in very cold winter weather. We make use of deciduous trees to shade and cool our home's southeasterly facing glass in summer. Our next home will also include solar and/or wind generated electricity. Nicely done.
