What is Rent to Own?

Rent to own homes in Kitchener

The rent to own home program allows you to move into a home right away and treat it as your own! (You'll own it after the program). Basically it's like leasing a car which has a buy-out option at the end.

Essentially program requires an upfront downpayment (not as much as the banks want) which is credited towards the purchase price of the home. You make your monthly payments and a portion of your payments also gets credited towards the purchase price of the home. Throughout the program, you build your credit so that you can purchase the home.

A great way to get into home ownership for those who have good income, but a bruised credit or not enough downpayment.

Rent 2 Own Home Solutions has more detailed information for rent to own Kitchener homes on their website. They also can provide rent to own homes in Hamilton, rent to own homes in Toronto and the surrounding area.

You can either pick and choose a listed house from Rent 2 Own Home Solutions or also go choose a home of your own and they'll purchase it for you and start a rent to own program with that home.

The program is definitely not made for everyone. If you can qualify for a mortgage at the bank - go do it! If you can't afford the monthly payments, don't put any financial stress on yourself. Be disciplined, save up and then try when you're fully ready.

About Kitchener

Source: Wikipedia

The City of Kitchener is a city in Southern Ontario, Canada. It was the Town of Berlin from 1854 until 1912 and the City of Berlin from 1912 until 1916. The city had a population of 204,668 in the Canada 2006 Census. The metropolitan area, which includes the neighbouring cities of Waterloo and Cambridge, has 451,235 people, making it the eleventh largest Census Metropolitan Area (CMA) in Canada and the fifth largest CMA in Ontario.[1] It is the seat of the Waterloo Regional Municipality, and is adjacent to the smaller cities of Cambridge to the south, and Waterloo to the north. Kitchener and Waterloo are often referred to jointly as "Kitchener-Waterloo" (K-W), although they have separate municipal governments. Including Cambridge, the three cities are known as "the tri-cities"

The Province of Ontario has committed to building a new provincial courthouse in downtown Kitchener, on the block bordered by Frederick, Duke, Scott and Weber streets. The new courthouse is expected to create new jobs, mainly for the courthouse itself, but also for other businesses, especially law offices. It is expected that the new courthouse construction will begin in 2010.

The provincial government has also announced that the University of Waterloo's (UW) Downtown Kitchener Health Sciences Campus will be the site of a new satellite campus of McMaster University's School of Medicine. The Michael G. DeGroote School of Medicine is expected to train 15 doctors a year, primarily through distance learning.
