Requiem - Free Online Horror Game

Eight races used to inhabit the world of Requiem. Only four remain, and the tales of the other races are told on the few remains of ruins scattered throughout the world.

The Ancient Era:

A time of peace, and very little conflict between the eight races as their alliances and revelries changed. These eight races consisted of the creatures known as the Nachs, Ohrg and Khuns. The humanoid races consisted of the Turans and Xenoas. And the demi-human race was known as the Bartuk. The Eonay race was also part of the world for a short time.

The Nachs believes that they had racial superiority over all humanoid races, and allied with the Ohrg, Khuns, and Bartuks, to destroy the Turans and Xenoas, while the Eonay race remained neutral, so they could focus on advancing their technology. The Turans and Xenoas fought hard against the other allied races, but there was a shift in the war. The Bartuks suddenly betrayed the Nachs and joined the forces of the Turans and Xenoas. The Nachs became weak, for they lost a large part of their army, but they found a way to become strong again. They created the Kruxena race by mixing the DNA of the Nachs and the few Bartuks that were loyal to them. The Kruxena were a pure killing machine.

Meanwhile, the neutral Eonay race attained incredible power by mastering Mana manipulation with their newly developed technologies. In the end however, the Nachs were defeated by one critical mistake. They had accidently trapped themselves in a dimensional gap when one of them touched the Noxxion, the source of the Luahn Mana that they used as power. The other races were swiftly and easily defeated without the leadership of the Nachs. Only the Kruxena race survived. The Kruxena were scattered throughout the world, and the following years brought peace between the Bartuks and the Turans. The Eonay race had achieved the hight of their technology, and decided to leave their dimension to explore the universe. The only bad thing is that they had left some remnants of their research and science behind...

Medieval Era:

The Xenoa, Turan, and Bartuk races united to form the Holy Xenon Empire. During this time, the Xenoa discovered what was left of the Eonay race's science%u2026 The Xeona used this new technology to usurp total control of the new Empire. They subjugate the Turans and Bartuks, and they forced all of their subjects to convert their religion and serve their god. Some of the Xeona ruling class did not agree with this disregard for basic rights however, and political factions were formed. There were heated debates between the Liberal Party, which fought to protect the rights of Turans and Bartuks, and the tyrannical Radical Party.

This then lead to The Dark Age. The Radical party had assumed absolute power, and declared all science illegal. This law against technology and magic was to prevent the Bartuks and Turans from rising up against the Xeona power. The Xeona further abused the Turan and Bartuk races, and when they rebelled, the Xeona retaliated with a public massacre of Bartuk children. This event triggered the Marze War in which the Turans and Bartuks fought together against the Xenoas for their independence. During this war, the Kruxena had decided to join the Turans and Bartucks, and help them overthrow the Xenoas. Even though the Kruxena were living in small, isolated communities, and they were known as cruel and cold natured, they had rationalized that they were genetically a brother race to the Bartuks.

The combined forces of the Kruxena, Bartuks and Turans were too much for the Xeonas. This caused the Xeona to active the Thanatos Project, which involved combining the Luahn Mana power of the Nachs race with the science of the Eonays. This reckless gamble caused a massive explosion that tore the world apart%u2026
The explosion was the first thing to be recorded in modern age. It scattered the races, destroyed the ecosystem, and caused the wild life to mutate into monsters. The explosion undid centuries of progress, and it reduced the standards of living drastically for anyone who survived. It took many years for the races to recover from this%u2026

A new form of the Holy Xenon Empire arose, but it was not ruled like the one before them. Instead, the leader of the old Radical Party, which fought for the freedom of the people, now leads this new Holy Xenon Empire. The government is closely tied to the Xenon religion, and it is trying to re-build the world and make up for the mistakes of the old Holy Xenon Empire.

Prosperous Era:

The world began a rapid modernization when the Ioxenic Organization and the Guildenstein Merchant Guild came to the world. The Ioxenic Organization had created a new power source for the cities to use. They mad machines that were powered by Ion energy. This Ion energy was based off of the dark science that the Eonay race had left behind long ago. Ion energy became used everywhere, and the Ioxenic Organization made new technology to help people make their lives easier.

The Merchant Guild introduced wide scale trade and reconnected the communication and fragments of the world through commerce and bolstering the world economy.

Chaotic Era:

Now is the time that the greatest menace of the world will appear. The mutated monsters of the world are growing stronger and more aggressive. They are moving closer to towns and villages, and extremely strong monsters have been seen to appear during the darkest hours of the night. The Ioxenic Organization is bringing hope to the world with their new announcement: they will dispatch troops of finalized versions of their latest project, the enhanced humanoids they call Temperions, to protect the world and defeat the growing monster threat!

Most of the people are unsure of what Ioxenic is really up to with the Temperions, but all their doubts are put behind them, for the Ioxenic have helped the world become technologically advance, and increased the standard of living. Few people really know what Ioxenic is up to. Their true goal is to secretly continue what was started in the Thanatos Project. One of the Temperions' main directives is to find old relics left behind by the Ohrg and Khun races: Ioxenic is aware that these past artifacts will help them uncover lost science and magic that will enable their organization to attain incredible power.

Ilkes, a brilliant researcher, found out Ioxenic's true intentions, and escaped the organization with a few completed Temperions to form Fenrir Canine, a group dedicated to revealing Ioxenic's corruption and thwarting their plans.

The public may see Ioxenic as saviors of the world, but what are their true intentions? What secrets could be so horrible to cause Ilkes to defect and form Fenrir Canine to oppose them? The grand fight for survival in a world plagued by darkness has just begun...

Turans are the representative race of Ethergia, and although they don't have any distinctively outstanding strengths, they are renown for their tenacity and solidarity. They are a rational race that upholds justice, preferring balanced and harmonized combat styles, quick movements, and agility over the use of brute force. They are also adept at learning the other races' abilities, adapting the divine magic of the Xenoas for their own use.

Below is an overview of the two classes that the Turans can be. Defender is a tank class and Templar is the healing class. Each of these classes are split off into another class (they call it job) choice you have to make at level 30. This choice is usually whether you want to be more offensive or defensive.

Bartuks are gifted with enormous physical power, but tend to be spiritually weak. They are easily enraged against their enemies, a serious weakness that is sometimes exploited to make them lose control. Bartuks are absolutely generous to their allies, and fight alongside them with a strong sense of solidarity. They make their decisions simply: assist the friend, smash the enemy. Magic wielding Bartuks are generally limited to the black arts and fire magic, and lack the intelligence to use most sophisticated magic.

Below is an overview of the classes that a Bartuk may be. The warrior is a tank class and the shaman deals with fire spells and also is able to heal.

Kruxenas are endowed with both strong strength and spirit: they can use short and long range weapons, and can become skillful in magic. They are brutal and cold hearted since they are a race created for the purpose of destruction, and will even sacrifice their companions to accomplish their ends. Kruxenas have no qualms over mutilating their enemies, and tend to be antisocial.

Below is an overview of the classes that the Kruxena can be. The rogue specializes in speed and stealth attacks. The soul hunter is best at curses, to weaken it's enemies, and ranged magic attacks.

Xenoas have an unmatched high intelligence. In spite of their low physical power, they have good hand-skills and eyesight. To make up for their weakness, they have upgraded their long-distance attacks and knowledge-based magic. Xenoas keep the order base on religion, faith and authority. To become the leader of the race, one should show the power of faith to the public. Xenoas believe that they are superior to other races, and are selective, disregarding other races. Currently, the Xenoa is a minority race. But their knowledge of science is very high. Xenoa magic has been developed in a way so that the Xenoas can effectively protect themselves. But some of the magic is for attacking off-guard enemies. Due to its small body, a Xenoa is good at long-range attacks or traps. Its skills of healing or detecting are stronger than the ones of other races. Rather than direct magic attack, Xenoas are excellent in support magic. A Xenoa would even sacrifice itself to cast a huge magic attack.

Below is an overview of the classes that a Xenoa can be. The hunter specializes in long range attacks with a weapons launcher. The battle magician can do both long and short range attacks with magic or a weapon.

Nightmare Monsters:

Even the most experienced players will cringe when darkness falls in the world of Requiem. The bloodthirsty Nightmare Monsters that appear at night will ravage the strongest parties if they are not adequately prepared for battle.

Weapon Enhancements:

Players can upgrade, customize, or create new items to suit their combat styles and battle prowess with several different item enhancement systems.

Beast Possession System:

Unleash the incredible power of the beast within by transforming into an enormous, ferocious creature. Level-up your Possession Beasts to equip your monstrous transformations with a variety of deadly skills and abilities to maximize your destructive potential.

Epic Player-Versus-Player (PvP) Battles:

Battle your foes on an enormous scale on an 8-vs-8, 16-vs-16, 32-vs-32, or colossal 96-vs-96 battlefield. The victors will be rewarded with special items that are key to obtaining the rarest weapons and armor!

DNA System:

Boost your character strengths and minimize their weaknesses by reorganizing their DNA as you see fit. Having full control over their evolution leads to a wide variety of character builds that share the same class and race.

Group Zones:

Jump over obstacles, collect key items, and complete other challenges to pass through locked areas in a group to discover what terror lies before you. These areas are designed especially for groups of players to experience an intense series of battles with great rewards.

How to Use the Requiem Item Mall:

To access the Item Mall when playing Requiem Log in, select desired server, and enter the game with any character. Then click the rectangular button above the mini map on the lower right side with an image of a gift box, a stack of gold coins, and an orange and yellow background (if you mouse over the button the title Item Mall will appear). When you click the Item Mall button a window will open set to the Notice page of the Item Mall. Read any notices and continue.

To acquire items you will need Gravity Points. Gravity points can be purchased from the Requiem main website www.playrequiem.com which you can click the Add Points button to be redirected to.

You can browse through the items available by clicking on a category. The categories are organized into a column on the left side of the Item Mall window with four rows of buttons. The first row has three buttons. From top to bottom they are Notice, Add Points, and Help.

The second row has two buttons. From top to bottom they are New Items and Popular Items. The third row has three buttons. From top to bottom they are Package Items, Bargain Items, and Bonus Items. The fourth and final row has two buttons. From top to bottom they are Manage Items and Check Items. The amount of Gravity Points on your account is shown in the bottom left corner of the Item Mall window.

The first row of buttons is for Notices and Help; also to Add Gravity Points. The second and third row of buttons consists of categorized catalogues of all the Items currently available through the Item Mall (more items will be added from time to time.) The fourth row of buttons contains the management options.

New Items, Popular Items, Package Items, Bargain Items, and Bonus Items organize the available items into easy to find groupings. Their titles are self descriptive and all items can be found within one or another of these categories.

On the bottom right of the Item Mall window you can click on the numbers or arrows bordering the numbers 1, 2, 3, 4, or 5 to view the multiple pages of items when there is more than a single page.

You may also search for an item by specific text using the Item Search Button at the bottom right side of the Item Mall window.


To purchase an item using your Gravity Points find the Item in one of the categories listed above. Then click the Obtain button in the corresponding description box. The item displayed in the following window with its name and price will be placed in a slot within Manage Items.



When you purchase an item any timers on the item will not begin until you have placed the item into one of your characters bags (or inventory.) In order to activate or use an item you purchased you must first go to the Manage Items list. To view the list click the Manage Items button on the bottom left side of the Item Mall window. From the list of items you can click and drag any of them you want to register to a character on your account from the Item Management list into any open space inside any of your characters bags. Please note once the item is registered to a character it may be bound to that character and not be able to transfer to any other character. Also note once an item is registered any timer on the item will begin to countdown.
