Join Jake Justice and his sidekick 10-4,in an action-packed world where courageous heroes come to the rescue.Like other Rescue Heroes, the two communicate using a backpack plugged into 10-4's circuitry. When the backpack rests on Jake's shoulders, and a button is pressed, Jake Justice and 10-4 can speak to each other in plain english.

Jake Justice was born to rescue those involved in traffic mishaps, and right any wrongs that have happened there. His bike's equipped with a radar gun to reach disaster scenes quickly, and a roadblock buster to push obstacles out of the way. So if you get in a jam, hope Jake Justice hits the highway!

There are certain toys that my house is completely over-run with, and the Fisher-Price Rescue Heroes line is one of them. With two boys under four, these chunky action figures designed just for toddler hands are one of the most popular toy lines that we have, but who knew that the Fisher-Price Rescue Heroes Highway Heroes Jake Justice Motorcycle Police Officer was going to be the one toy that the boys fought over?

::: The Only Motorcycle :::

To be honest, Santa tossed the Fisher-Price Rescue Heroes Highway Heroes Jake Justice Motorcycle Police Officer in his sleigh simply because it was on clearance when he was loading up other toys, otherwise it never would have found its way into our house. As far as Rescue Heroes, go, this one is a very basic set, with just the figure and the motorcycle. For once, no batteries are required.

Jake has the basic Rescue Heroes body, with articulation at the neck, shoulders, elbows, wrists, waist, and hips. Designed to easily stand unassisted, he is made completely of molded plastic, from his black, silver, and yellow helmet to his black jacket with yellow and red trip to his silver pants and gloves and black chunky boots. Jake arrives seated on the blue motorcycle with black and silver accents. A molded red light is on the back of the motorcycle, and attached to the front wheel is a red "roadblock buster", which, when a button is pushed, a grey battering ram type of apparatus pops out. The roadblock buster can be positioned in different ways by rotating it on the axle.

::: Sometimes Simple Is Better :::

The Fisher-Price Rescue Heroes Highway Heroes Jake Justice Motorcycle Police Officer set was one of the most simple toys that either of the boys received, and yet it's the one they fight over CONSTANTLY. Had Santa known, he probably would have brought two of these and skipped something else.

The one big issue is getting Jake (or any other Rescue Hero) onto the motorcycle. Thee figures generally aren't articulated at the knee, so it's an awkward pose at best, and then trying to get their hands on the handlebars makes it even more difficult. I spend a lot of time putting Rescue Heroes onto the motorcycle.

As far as popularity is concerned, though, the Fisher-Price Rescue Heroes Highway Heroes Jake Justice Motorcycle Police Officer holds the title for most popular. had I though about it, I would have realized that it had a RESCUE HERO and a motorcycle, two of the most popular toy types in our house. Even though it doesn't DO very much, it meets many boy-type requirements, including police officer, action figure, and vehicle all rolled into one. Penny for penny, this is probably the toy that was the best value as a gift due to its popularity.
