How Research and Writing Can Improve Your Business

Eloquently executed writing can portray your business in the best light possible.

The gift of writing is not taught. In fact, most people do not feel that they can write concisely; and do not effectively demonstrate ideas at their best. For this reason alone, hiring a talented freelance writer and researcher can increase revenue. Through professional writing, your web pages portray credibility.

There are too many company websites available on the web. It seems every Tom, Dick, and Harry has a web page. How do you distinguish yours from the rest of the pack? There are several tools which maximize the effectiveness of your web marketing: Search Engine Optimization (SEO), and its under-utilized partner - concise writing.

As an experienced researcher, I developed a corporate competitive intelligence program; analyzed legal issues and industry news; actively tracked competitors of an e-commerce website; and discovered new business leads for companies.

In my role as Operations Manager of 12 e-commerce websites, I learned the fine art of white-hat SEO techniques. By participating in search engine optimization efforts, we drove our websites to the front page of several major search engines. Our philosophy was simple: use keywords, eloquent writing, graphics, and a gorgeous website template and they will come. We were right.

As a writer, I have developed a number of blogs and webpages. My style is tailored to customer demographics; some markets require a formal tone, while other markets prefer informal, "chatty" speak. I believe that professional writing can increase the value of your company - finding a typo or a grammatical error can dissuade the ultimate customer: the educated class.

Contact me for more information regarding my services. I deliver results. Your webpages, RFPs, press releases, blogs, articles, powerpoint presentations, and general writing will demonstrate professionalism and forethought.

About Me

Learn about my interests: all of which make me a unique writer and researcher.

I love challenge. In particular, I love hearing "You can't do that" or "I couldn't find it, so it must not exist". My love of web research began during my education as a paralegal. I discovered ways of locating court cases without having to pay a hefty subscription to legal research services such as Westlaw or Lexis Nexis. During my legal training, I also discovered that when it comes to our available information, there is always an answer (whether you like it or not).

A natural speed-reader, I scroll through and memorize writing at incredible paces. I currently read approximately 4 novels per week while working 70+ hours. I credit this gift to a genetic talent - my mother also flies through any writing content.

As a semi-obsessive compulsive, I pick out grammatical and spelling errors in everything - from billboards to newspaper advertisements. As a child, I often re-wrote taglines and advertisements; I believed I could do it better.

My passions are pretty simple. I love web technology, and am constantly researching new ways to search for information. I am interested in national news, particularly when it effects industries or companies. A trained pastry chef, I create desserts and breads when I have the time. I have a 1000+ assortment of films. An avid art lover, I collect folk art and photography. I enjoy reading mysteries, biographies, and classics.

Residing in Northwest Georgia, I enjoy the polite, friendly Southern way. While I am originally from the San Francisco Bay area, there is a slow, languid life here in the South that I am in love with.

Contact me and I will provide a professional consultation - either via email, IM, or phone - regarding your writing and research needs. You will not find any similar freelance work available on the web.
