Improve Your Home With Residential Window Films

Ever heard of window films? If no, then you don't know what you're missing. Residential window films are a great way to improve your home without breaking the bank.

They are affordable, easy to install (you can do it yourself), and easy to remove or replace, if you ever choose to do so.

Window films come in many different styles and designs. They can give the effect of expensive sandblasted glass at only a fraction of the cost. They can simulate the look of frosted, etched, or stained glass. They can give your house a completely new look.

Window films can be installed on any glass surface in your home - from windows and glass doors, to shower enclosures and mirrors.

Here are some examples:

Window Films For Home

Window films are basically polyester films that are applied to glass surfaces. Nowadays, almost all of them are adhesive-free. That's good news for homeowners, because it means less mess.

And if you ever want to remove or replace it, there will be no residue left on the glass.

Homeowners from all over the country are just learning all the benefits that window films provide. Here are just a few:

  • Affordable

  • Visually appealing

  • Easy to install

  • Easy to clean

  • Removable and reusable

  • Many styles to choose from

  • Increased Privacy

  • Increased security

  • Reduced heat and glare

  • UV Protection

  • Energy savings

How To Install Window Film

Installation is a breeze. Here is what you'll need:

  • utility knife

  • a squeegee

  • a spray bottle

  • 20 minutes of your time

That's all. First, you'll use the knife to cut the film to size. Then you'll spray a layer of water over the glass and simply lay the film into place. Finally, you'll use the squeegee to get rid of any air bubbles and excess water, and you're done. You've just installed a window film.

Where To Buy?

You can find window films in most respected hardware stores or home improvement centers, but if you really want the best buck for your money - shop online. Online stores have much greater selections than brick & mortar stores.

My favorite shop online is www.wallpaperforwindows.com. Feel free to check them out.

Just remember this - always buy non-adhesive window films. Trust me, you don't want to mess with adhesives.
