Resident Evil
Resident Evil, known in Japan as Biohazard is a survival horror video game by Capcom. The inaugural title and first installment in the Resident Evil series, it was originally released in 1996 for the Sony PlayStation and has subsequently been ported to the Sega Saturn and PC.In 2002, a remake of the game was released for the Nintendo GameCube featuring new graphics, voice acting and many significant gameplay changes. A Nintendo DS port of the original was released in early 2006 as Resident Evil: Deadly Silence.
It was the first game to be dubbed a "survival horror," borrowing from the "ambient survival horror" genre coined by Alone in the Dark. Accordingly, Game Informer refers to "the original Resident Evil" as "one of the most important games of all time." The inspiration for Resident Evil was the earlier Capcom game Sweet Home. Shinji Mikami was initially commissioned to make a horror game set in a haunted mansion like Sweet Home.

Resident Evil: Outbreak
Resident Evil: Outbreak, known as Biohazard: Outbreak in Japan, is a single player game with online playability for the PlayStation 2 initially released in 2004. This game is the first in the Resident Evil series to feature online multiplayer support; however, online support was not available for European and Australian versions of the game. Outbreak was produced by Tsuyoshi Tanaka. Outbreak depicts a series of canonical episodic storylines in Raccoon City set during the same general time period as Resident Evil 2 and Resident Evil 3: Nemesis. It was followed by a sequel, Resident Evil: Outbreak: File 2. Resident Evil: Outbreak: File 2
Resident Evil: Outbreak: File #2 is an online survival horror game developed and published by Capcom. It was released for the Playstation 2 on September 9, 2004 in Japan, April 26, 2005 in North America, and on August 26, 2005 in Europe.Following the success of the first title in Japan, Capcom quickly announced the release of Resident Evil: Outbreak: File #2 in fall of 2004. The same eight characters from the first title return with similar abilities, and the game takes place once again in a zombie-inhabited Raccoon City. Five new scenarios are available, and the first four are available from the beginning. In Japan, the game was packaged with a demo of Devil May Cry 3 if pre-ordered. Despite the financial success of the first title, File #2 sold roughly 40% of what the first did when it was released in Japan, thus dampening the chances of a future installment.
Resident Evil Code: Veronica
Resident Evil Code: Veronica, released in Japan as Biohazard Code: Veronica, is the fourth game in Capcom's Resident Evil survival horror series originally released for the Sega Dreamcast in 2000. It is notable for being the first Resident Evil title to debut on a non-Sony platform, in contrast to the first three installments, which were originally PlayStation games and then ported to other platforms. An updated version of the game titled Code: Veronica X was released for the Dreamcast (Japan only) and PlayStation 2 in 2001. This revision was ported to the Nintendo GameCube in 2003. Code: Veronica X includes updated as well as brand-new cut scenes spliced into the main game along with mild graphical changes.
It was the first game in the series made for a sixth generation console, and also the first core title in the series to use fully polygonal environments instead of the static pre-rendered backgrounds that characterized the previous installments (not counting Resident Evil: Survivor).

- Hey there. I'm scouting out lenses to join my brand new group, Video Game Mayhem, and I was hoping that you'd like to add your lens. If you'd like, you can do so here: http://www.squidoo.com/group/create_lens/video-game-mayhem/4b519ea08f51e3cca66f0191c7212064
Now I hope you don't think this is some copy/pasted message that I sent to everyone with a video game lens, because it's not. In fact, your is only the third lens I've found that I want to invite to the group, and I think I've got one more in mind.
Oh well. If you still think this is spam, I encourage you to not approve this comment, and I'll be on my merry way. If not, though, then I'll see you in the group! :D
