Fitness without standing up
The Resistance Chair exercise system allows you to do a full body workout from a safe and comfortable seated position. Because you remain seated, you maintain balance and stability as you exercise your arms, chest, shoulders, abdomen, back, and legs. The patented Resistance Anchor Cable system offers a wide range of upper body and lower body exercises and provides smooth, low-impact resistance without use of heavy weights. The Resistance Chair system is made of very strong, commercial-grade construction with thick-wall steel tubing. It's built to withstand frequent use in gyms and rehab centers, has been tested to easily hold up to 400 pounds, and can be used by anyone of any age.

About the Resistance Chair
"I just can't believe how much better I feel, how much stronger my arms and legs are. Now I can go for a walk without getting tired legs. I recommend this for anyone needing an effective exercise routine." JR, CA
Rehabilitation Therapy:
Physical therapy can help you recover from an injury and avoid future injury by improving flexibility and function, and building muscle strength. Physical therapy also is useful after joint surgery, especially for artificial joint replacement. The goal of the physical therapist is often to restore a person back to the point where he or she can perform everyday activities without difficulty.
To help you recover from injury your physical therapist will recommend exercises that increase the range of motion of an injured joint and build strength in the muscles around the joint. The physical therapist will also analyze how you perform an activity and suggest how to do the activity in a way that is less likely to incur injury.
Ultimately, the therapist will design an exercise plan tailored to your specific rehabilitation needs and, if necessary, show you how to use equipment that will assist with your recovery and mobility, such as walkers, canes, and exercise equipment.
Please find below a list of medical protocols that will assist physical therapists and other healthcare providers in using the Resistance Chair system for rehabilitation of specific injuries. Please consult with your healthcare professional to see if this product and exercise routines are right for you.
Exercise solutions for Medical Conditions:
Physical therapy can help you recover from surgery and injuries, and help you live more easily with chronic health conditions. Your physical therapist will work with you to establish your goals, then create a program of educational, range-of-motion, strengthening, and endurance activities to meet your needs.
Some physical therapy and health conditions require a rehabilitation team approach. Conditions such as stroke, brain injury, spinal cord injury, and major cardiopulmonary (heart and lung) problems usually require the attention of a team of health care practitioners. This team can include doctors, nurses, physical therapists, occupational therapists, and other professionals. Physical therapists represent a critical part of this team, addressing issues such as range of motion, strength, endurance, mobility and safety. The physical therapist can also recommend equipment to help you self-manage your therapy treatment at home. In fact, many people purchase the Resistance Chair exercise and rehabilitation system upon the advice of their physical therapist.
Please find below a list of medical guidelines that offer suggestions on how to use the Resistance Chair system to address many prevalent illnesses and ailments. Please consult with your healthcare professional to see if this product and exercise routines are right for you.
Senior Fitness Solutions:
People are living longer than ever before. Advances in medicine, nutritional awareness, and improved exercise habits have contributed to the rapid growth of the 65+ age group. In order to stay more healthy and productive, many people are adopting a lifestyle that promotes total well-being, including eating a healthy diet and engaging in regular exercise.
Exercise is just as important for those in their sixties and seventies than it is for people half that age. No matter what your age, the benefits of exercise are the same - increased energy and self-esteem, conditioned heart and lungs, improved muscle tone, and greater function of bones and joints. The effects of certain chronic diseases, such as diabetes, high blood pressure, arthritis, and osteoporosis, can also be reduced by engaging in regular exercise. Remember, before beginning any new exercise program, always consult with your healthcare professional to design an appropriate exercise routine that is right for you.

Short Stroke Mini Bike
The custom-designed exercise bike attachment snaps on to the front crossbar of the Resistance ChairĀ® to give you additional cardio and leg exercise. In addition, you can attach resistance cables to the upright row bar for exercises such as rows and lateral pulls. The mini-bike includes an LCD display and adjusts for resistance level and leg length.VQ ActionCare has designed the Short Stroke for people who want movement and blood flow as an exercise, rather than a brisk cardio workout. It's great for someone who wants to ride a mile or so each day and is looking for a cardio system that provides a very short range of motion. The total range of motion of your legs when pedaling is 7 inches. The Short Stroke uses a specially designed belt driven system that allows you to pedal forward or in reverse and experience the same resistance in either direction. It also includes an upright row bar that enables you to use resistance cables for lateral pulls, rows, and other exercises for the upper body. An LCD displays a number of functions, including time, distance, speed, and calories.
The Short Stroke Mini-Bike is great for people looking to gain better balance and build strength, or for people recovering from a leg or hip injury who need an exercise system with a short range of motion. Of course, always check with your doctor before starting any new exercise program or using any new piece of equipment. The minimum height requirement for using the Short Stroke Mini Bike is at least 4 foot, 8 inches tall. Includes one set of "Level 5" resistance cables and owner's manual. Minimal assembly required.
