Resistance 2 vs Killzone 2
Resistance 2 has been out a few months now and has already gained a nice following, it is the follow up to another Playstation 3 exclusive, that being Resistance: Fall of Man and it follows on from where Resistance: Fall of Man left off.
Killzone 2 is due for realease at the back end of February 2009 and is surrounded by more hype than Metal Gear Solid 4, if that is at all possible. Unlike Resistance 2 though it is not a follow up to a Playstation 3 exclusive but it is a follow up to a Playstation exclusive as the last Killzone was a Playstation 2 exclusive.

Since this is a debate unlike other biased views on either game it is up to you the reader to tell other people why you think one of these two games is better than the other. Of course both will have features that beat the other so if you like you can offer views for both games.

I prefer Resistance 2. Although I liked Killzone 2's campaign, the multiplayer got boring after a while. Whereas Resistance 2's multiplayer was much more fun, and the campaign felt more original.

I hated the original resistance. But the 2nd one i found as fun. Im more of a fanboy for halo and arcade type fps games because of their speed. Resistance reminds me more of a halo type shooter with call of duty perks which added a little more depth. I got killzone 2 a little after its released and playd it for about 2 hours then sold it. Im not the patient type. The movement i found to be really slow when u die its waiting a while to respawn. Im more of a fast action player that doesnt have alot of time to spend gaming. Running from original spawn point to the action when another point isnt closer i found a waste of time specially when you jump back into action and get picked off.

If you are looking for the best visually pleasing game then definately go with killzone 2 but if you want a game with a huge epic scope and insane bosse, very creative guns, great controls, interesting story, 60 player online competitive mode, a seperate co-op campaign with 8 players at once, then go with resistance 2. Overall resistance 2 wins because of the fun factor. Can't wait for resistance 3 the way resistance 2 ended also. Very cool ending. If you havnt played the first resistance, then you need to go buy it, it is very cheap now and still after nearly 4 years is one of ps3's best games. Other recommendations are uncharted 2, metal gear solid 4, and resistance fall of man. Hope this helped. By the way i am also slim shady on the killzone 2 section. Why are u still reading this?

Resistance 2's single player was decent to say the least. The competitive multiplayer is solid but the co-op multiplayer is what's having me come back to the game even a year after its release. Killzone's 2 single player was a bit better than Resistance 2's and the online multiplayer (Warzone) is pretty good too. The real heavy controls ruined the experience for me. It's pretty hard to recommend a game when the controls aren't there. I recommend Resistance 2. =)

Resistance has a decent matchmaking system. If someone leaves, they're gone, while Killzone possibly has the worst matchmaking sytem ever. I spent at least 3 hours of wasted game time in games which for which I did not even get my rewards because "oh my, Game host not available. You got screwed. Too bad" That by itself proved that Resistance is the better game, It's not all about graphics, Kz2 looks good, but the online gameplay just sucks.

seriously, dont vote for one if you havent played the other. i have both games and i have to say killzone 2 for story and online play. resistance 2 online play isnt that fun, even for 60 people it gets dull. but killzone 2 online is much better and you understand what you gota do and how to do it. But, resistance 2 isnt all bad. i would have returned it if it wasnt for the co-op play. the co-op play is awesome which is a good reason to get both games. but over all of that, killzone 2 is way ahead of resistance 2

- This article was a good idea, comparing ps3 exclusives. Thoroughly enjoyed MGS4. Hated the controls on Little Big Planet, so I hated the game itself. Just didn't enjoy Resistance 2 for no apparent reason. Enjoying Killzone 2 much more.
