Project HELP

Job Development (JDS) and Temporary Employment (TES). JDS assists CASS clients in their pursuit of permanent employment by providing application, resume and interview assistance, fax, phone and computer access, haircut, tools, clothing, and a job readiness class. TES assists all LDRC clients in finding temporary and/or temporary to permanent work.

The Phoenix Dream Center is the home of Church on the Street. This former Comfort Inns Suites Hotel has been converted into a lovely residential center for our disciples, as well as a hub for other outreach ministries. Here, through six-month increments, men and women are equipped for successful re-entry into society. From this Center, helping hands go forth into the community, meeting needs and sharing the Gospel of Jesus Christ.

We are actively involved in raising funds and support, to secure property for transitional living and a 12-15 month discipleship Training program, for God's Mighty Men at Joshua House. Because we can clearly see the signs of our Lord Jesus' imminent return, we have an urgency to restore and equip these men to wholeness. We desire all men, especially ex-offenders who have received and know the grace of God, and who have a desire to share the Good News of God's Kingdom, and to have an opportunity to participate, in the soul saving ministry of making disciples for Jesus.

Every day, homeless individuals in the Phoenix area wonder how they'll get a job without personal identification. Thanks to the Ecumenical Chaplaincy for the Homeless (ECH), these individuals can obtain the help they need. At it's main office in the Lodestar Resource Center, ECH helps thousands of homeless people each year obtain lost documents, such as birth certificates and drivers' licenses, so they can get jobs, obtain medical help, or find housing.

Nova - Safe Haven

NOVA Safe Haven will provide quality, cost effective services to homeless persons with a serious mental illness. A day Drop In Program, combined with residential services as well as supportive services, will engage individuals and prepare them to achieve the goals of increased sufficiency, stability, and greater self-determination which will lead to permanent housing.

Safe Haven is a specialized program for homeless adults presenting with symptoms of a serious mental illness. It provides a unique function within the homeless continuity of care with a specialized design.

Safe Haven serves homeless, seriously mentally ill adults. The majority of these individuals are dually diagnosed with a substance abuse disorder. Priority for residential services will be given to those individuals with an HIV diagnosis, or physical handicap.
