Restless legs syndrome/ jerky legs can be described as the horrible urge to constantly move your legs, especially at night when you should be resting.
The urge to move one's legs, is also usually accompanied by discomfort or unpleasant sensations (the arms or other body parts may be involved).
Studies show that people have discribed the unpleasant sensations diffrently, but "like worm's crawling under my skin" is one very common example.

Restless Legs Syndrome
The symptoms of RLS vary in intensity from mild to severe, but the condition is generally signified by the presence of a burning sensation or other painful condition in the legs.
For many sufferers the symptoms are most intense in the early morning hours others are troubled by these symptoms throughout the day.
Restless leg syndrome sufferers find themselves needing to get up and move frequently, and often unable to sit or lie down for extended periods of time.
This can make traveling, and sleeping, a real challenge, RLS can cause many problems for those who suffer from this potentially debilitating condition.
The term "Restless Leg Syndrome" was coined by Professor Karl-Axel Ekbom in 1944 and is therefore also known as "Ekbom's disease".
In the UK doctors now offer medication for RLS, the same medication they use to treat Parkinson's Disease .

Cutting Down On Salt Intake
