How A Resume Writing Guide Can Get You Employed

While I was online one day I noticed information on a resume writing guide. I decided to click to see what the information was about. You see I felt I knew all I needed to know about writing a resume. After all I have edited my resume for over 10 years with ease. What else could I learn? All you have to do is list your education and job history. How hard can that be? I found out that while it is not difficult I was overlooking some important aspects. I learned that since everybody is doing the same thing it would be a good idea to include other information. This is what I learned from the resume writing guide. After I considered all my experience I came up with some great information. Employers have said some good things about me. If I could put this on my resume it sure would make a great impression on prospective employers. What about the extra time I spent helping co workers with computer problems. If I could share this information it sure could increase my chances of being interviewed for positions I apply for and this could increase my chances of getting the job. All this I got from a resume writing guide. That is not the end of it either. You see my resume looks so different now. . Before it looked good, but now it is so IMPRESSIVE.

What Did I Learn From The Guerrilla Resume Writing Guide?

Learn How to Create a Guerilla Resume NowThe first thing I learned from the Guerrilla resume writing guide was to determine my marketable skills then find achievements to prove my skills. It took some thought, but once I got started it was a breeze. The guide wanted me to start from a blank slate. I had to ask myself questions like What do I do well? What do I enjoy? Once I answered these questions it was time to find achievements that prove these skills. At this point I just reworded my data for my resume. This process allowed me to see what I would bring to a new position. Once I figured out how to prove my skills the question was how to put this information on my resume. Once the guide told me how to implement this data my resume actually became more detailed or statistical (factual). I indicated how often I stayed later at work and what was accomplished by me putting in extra time. You know, "How much money I saved the company." I impressed myself. The Guerrilla resume guide really brought me full circle. See the link below for more information on how to do everything. It really is pretty easy once you know how.

Not All Resume Writing Guides Are Equal

Learn How to Redesign Your Resume Now

Until recently I have read the some of the same information in other resume writing guides. You know the generic statements that everyone says are important to create a good resume. Its basic stuff everybody does. Like include a clear specific job objective or watch out for gaps in employment dates etc. The Guerrilla guide gave me more information than other guides and it was on a different level. It is simple. If everyone is doing the same thing how am I going to stand out? Exactly! So the old guides say to:

  • Use a standard format for your resume

  • Be specific about job duties

  • and so on

  • No I did not abandon these ideas, but I did add more information. You see since I have learned better I have done better. If you want to do better see the link below and stop the cycle that produces carbon copy resumes. It is not helping you get a new job. Good luck.
