Resume Templates.
It seems a little bit of a silly statement but its very true. Many people if given the chance could do the jobs that they apply for very well but when the prospective employer is reading the resume whats in front of hime or her is all they can go on.
So its of the up most importance to create a resume that gets you to the top of the pile.

Use a resume template to help you create an awarding winning resume.
A resume template can help you to make sure that all of the required information that a prospective employer expects to see will be there and in the correct order. It goes without saying that your work history is at the center of any well-written resume. Include all your work history in reverse chronological order and try to include 10 to 15 years worth (if you have it). Then, list your educational qualifications, college certificates, degrees etc.
However, if you are a new graduate, you will want to list your educational achievements at the top of the page as this is the most relevant part for your resume type. Then list your employment history and accomplishments.
A resume template will give you several ideas and samples of how to format the resume. There are many different ways to go about using the template.
There are literally hundreds of books and guides that have been written on the subject of resume writing. You can search out at the library or your local bookstore, which will have at least one resume template for you to study.
The best resume writing resource I have found uses a computer program to take all of the hassle away from writing the resume. You only need to insert keywords and dates and the program will write the resume for you. it really is great.
There really are hundreds of resources available to build the perfect resume. All that is needed is a little time spent on research and hopefully you can create an award winning resume and get that job you have always wanted.">
I like to Know What You Think!
Do you create a new resume for each job you apply for?
Fetching blurbs now... please stand byYES, I thinks its important to tailor you resume for each job.
Lisa-McGrimmon says:
Absolutely. I have one document that is my base resume. Everything I've ever done is listed there. I'd never send that to an employer because it's too long and unfocused. When I need to write a resume, I pick and choose from the items on my base resume, selecting the items that are most relevant to the job I'm applying for. It makes tailoring my resume to specific jobs a lot easier.

NO, my resume tells the prospective employer everything they need to know and it would be the same for any job.
Steve says:
I tailor the resume to the profession (one resume for science teacher gigs, another resume for curriculum development gigs) and let the cover letter respond in detail to the unique advertisement for the job. But I don't do a unique resume for each employer.

- You will need to construct a resume at some point in your life,
whether applying for an internship or a full-time job. A
well-designed résumé will help you:
* Initiate contact with a potential employer.
* Communicate your relevant qualifications and strengths.
* Provide information to personal and professional contacts who
will write letters of recommendation or make phone calls
on your behalf.
* Demonstrate your ability to write well, pay attention to
detail, and present information in an organized and
concise manner.
