4.3 Paladin Update

Blizzard has finally released patch 4.3 Hour of Twilight, which I must say is one heck of a update. There are TONS of changes to Paladins, actually more changes to us then almost every other class, and since it's the last major patch of Cataclysm you can bet we aren't going to see updates like this in quite awhile.

Latest Patch Note Changes

It's true Paladins had quite a few changes in 4.3, but Retribution didn't have the majority of them. It was Holy who got the most overhauled. In fact they almost got a complete revamp for Aoe healing.

  • Sanctified Retribution now increases the critical hit chance of Hammer of Wrath by 2/4/6%, down from 20/40/60%.

  • Two-Handed Weapon Specialization (passive) now increases damage by 25%, up from 20%.

  • Seal of Truth, when Judged, now benefits from a multiplier of 20% per stack of Censure, up from 10%.


    • In terms of having to change a lot of your Retribution Macros you don't have a lot to worry about, but the Hammer of Wrath nerf will change the way you play Ret quite a bit. Instead of major burst dps your going to have to rely on reliable damage from Seal of Truth etc.
