What CHOISE Software can do for your business
The CHOISE software will manage a complete Wholesale or Retail Business - I have left it to Wikipedia to describe Supply Chain Management.
Supply chain management (SCM) is the process of planning, implementing and controlling the operations of the supply chain as efficiently as possible. Supply Chain Management spans all movement and storage of raw materials, work-in-process inventory, and finished goods from point-of-origin to point-of-consumption.
The definition one American professional association put forward is that Supply Chain Management encompasses the planning and management of all activities involved in sourcing, procurement, conversion, and logistics management activities. Importantly, it also includes coordination and collaboration with channel partners, which can be suppliers, intermediaries, third-party service providers, and customers. In essence, Supply Chain Management integrates supply and demand management within and across companies. More recently, the loosely coupled, self-organizing network of businesses that cooperates to provide product and service offerings has been called the Extended Enterprise.
Supply Chain Management can also refer to Supply chain management software which are tools or modules used in executing supply chain transactions, managing supplier relationships and controlling associated business processes.
Supply chain event management (abbreviated as SCEM) is a consideration of all possible occurring events and factors that can cause a disruption in a supply chain. With SCEM possible scenarios can be created and solutions can be planned.

- Corporate Database
- The Corporate Database module provides the basic data structure for the Choise Retail Head Office and Wholesale systems.
- Price Administration
- The Price Administration module integrates with the Corporate Database module to provide facilities for the maintenance of products and prices held within the system. The module can be configured to fulfil the requirements of both retail and wholesale activity. Details of product/price information can be hosted to the EPOS Choise Store back office and IPoS tilling systems.
- Shop/Customer Ordering & Distribution
- The Shop/Customer Ordering module receives orders, which have been transmitted or manually entered at Head Office for internal branches and wholesale customers.
- Warehousing
- The Choise Warehouse Stock Control system is designed to be a straightforward tool to help optimise stock holdings, with the minimum amount of administration. Optimise, not Minimise, is the objective, as being out of stock can be just as costly as being overstocked.
- Demand Calculation/Draft Purchase Ordering
- This module provides a forecasting tool that assists in the maintenance of appropriate warehouse stock levels. The user is allowed to create draft purchase orders using calculated and entered criteria that can be produced on a 'What-if' basis.
- Purchase Order System
- The Purchase Order System (POS) for the Warehouse is structured to control the ordering and receipt of goods from Suppliers. The module can be run separately or in combination with the Demand Calculation/Draft Purchase Ordering module.
- EPoS System Hosting
- The EPoS Hosting module provides the means by which data can be transferred to and from shop based Back Office and EPoS Systems.
- CHOISE Store Back Office
- The Choise Store back office system is designed for shops of all sizes. It assists in maintaining the correct pricing structure, retaining adequate stock levels, producing end of day reports and daily/weekly sales reports.
- IPoS Point of Sale/Till System
- The IPoS Tilling System is a feature rich Windows Point of Sale software package which specifically designed for the selling of goods and services, utilising a touch screen user interface.
- Branch Charging
- The Branch Charging System (BCS) is an internal accounting facility that has been designed as a means of capturing the costs associated with a retail branch network. These branch costs are incurred by the receipts of goods (and other charges) either directly from suppliers or indirectly via a warehouse.
- Goods Received Invoice/Matching
- The Goods Received Invoice Matching System (GRIM) performs automatic Invoice to Delivery Note matching procedures within a parameter guideline of allowed variances. The system utilises the data from the Branch Charging System (BCS), together with Purchase Invoice data entered or captured within the GRIM routines.
- CRTG Import & Compliance
- The function of the Co-operative Retail Trading Group (CRTG) Compliance Sub-System within the Choise Head Office System is to analyse information provided by CRTG, along with actual branch sales, in order to report on the level of compliance for branches and specific sections within branches.
- Point of Sale Invoicing
- The Point of Sale Invoicing module provides the facility of immediate invoice generation for wholesale applications such as Cash & Carry or Trade Counter sales.
- Stock Take
- The Stock Take System allows the stock details of products to be frozen while a count of actual stock takes place. Actual stock is then entered against stock levels on the system and an update takes place to correct stock levels.

- The Branch Stock Valuation & Leakage module

In-Tech Solutions has developed the CHOISE range of software products since 1991 and they have been enhanced and ported progressively to the latest operating platforms. The CHOISE Software systems have not been marketed as 'packaged' offerings but provide the core for the delivery of software solutions in application areas where tailoring is desirable or essential. The latest versions of software are developed with the Borland C-Builder Windows Development system and produced using a database abstraction layer in order to achieve independence for the preferred database product. The areas for which In-Tech has available solutions can be considered to generally address the head office, supply chain and in-store requirements of retail/wholesale operations, however a number of further software modules have been developed in specific areas.
