Retired Webkinz

If you haven't heard of webkinz yet then you probably don't have any children! Webkinz are the new childrens geared craze in which you buy a small stuffed animal, called a webkin, and use the code that comes with that animal to play in an online world. I was curious and was looking around ebay to see how much some of the rarer webkinz are going for and found that some of them are makiing a pretty profit, at least more than what they originally cost ($10). I have compiled a list of the retired webkinz ans some places you can go to get compare prices if you are interested in buying or seling them.

Who is Retired?

Below are the current retired Webkinz

  • Basset Hound
  • Cheeky Cat
  • Cheeky Dog
  • Gold and White Cat
  • Grey and White Cat
  • Horse
  • Pegasus
  • Unicorn

Webkins on Amazon

I found all of the retired webkins on Amazon and some were still listed for $9.99! I doubt they'll be there for long.

Summary

So is it worth to try to sell those retired Webkinz? Unless you have Cheeky Dog (currently selling for an avergae of $659 with a un-opened tag with code), then probably not. With all of the other retired Webkins you'll only make a few dollars profit. You could wait to see if the price of the others go up, which I'm sure it will in the future when they are harder to come by, but I wouldn't wait to long or they could end being another TY baby sitting in your basement waiting to be worth someting again. I say if your buying Webkins it should purely be for you or your child's pleasure and enjoyment.
