If you look up the definition of retro style, this is what you will find: Retro is a culturally outdated or aged style, trend, mode, or fashion, from the overall postmodern past, that has since that time become functionally or superficially the norm once again. The use of "retro" style iconography and imagery interjected into post-modern art, advertising, mass media, etc. It generally implies a vintage of at least 15 or 20 years.
I think of retro as a simpler time in life. We didn't have cell phones. We would take off all day long on our bikes and go to the park. Our Mom's didn't call us every 10 seconds wanting to know where we were. People today never let their cell phones leave their hands, not even when they are charging their phones or even on the toilet, they still answer that phone!
