Deluxe Fire Truck is yet anther fun toy inspired by the "sad face" pedal cars of the 1940's ( their front looked like a sad face). The fire truck is as close to the original as can be - even to the point of having a rear step just like the original trucks did. Painted deep red, highlighted with white graphics it looks like a retro fire truck should. Real wooden ladders rest on their own chrome plated grab bars. As a matter of fact, you will see plenty of chrome - just like the original toy cars, and like the grownup cars of that era. And yes, the red light flashes!

Pink Pedal Sedan really does look like the famous "sad face" pedal cars of the late 1940's. Look at it - the front does look like a sad face - similar to the Buicks and Packards made in 1949. Toy cars made in 1940s became collectible items - kind of makes sense, as not many would survive half a century of use by kids.
The new retro pedal cars are inspired by these toys, and they do look like something that traveled in a time machine straight out of 1949. The Pink Sedan Pedal Car is trimmed with a chrome windshield, chrome steering wheel, chrome hubcaps and a chrome hood ornament - plenty of chrome. I don't know why today's cars lack chrome - it really does look great. Such a car is a pleasure to behold. The sedan is made from heavy gauge steel - solid and sturdy. If your child does not like the pink color - retro pedal cars come in many colors. Steele wheels with rubber tires complete the package - a true classic.
