Welcome to Retro Gifts

Vintage, vintage, and more vintage. Old West photographs, vintage travel and enlistment posters, cards, and designs. And, some that I've created myself in a retro style. Get historical. Get nostalgic. Get retro.

I made this page because I love retro and vintage designs and wanted a fun way to reach new people like you.

I'm giving you just a small taste of the great retro and vintage designs, toys, posters, books, and movies that are my favorites.

Here are two links to get you started. The link to my vintage specialty Zazzle Gallery. TNMPastPerfect and my Retro Is It Store

Retro at TNM Graphics at Zazzle

Even though the TNM Graphics store on Zazzle isn't technically "retro" or "vintage" it carries an eclectic mix including some of both of those types of items. These 9 don't come close to being all these it. You'll have to stop by and see.

Fiestaware

Colorful and microwave safe but first seen in the 1930s. Mix and match at dinner so everyone has a different color. Then mix the colors of your serving dishes also. You can't help but feel happy.

No dishes are "happier" than Fiestaware. My grandmother gave me her Fiestaware and now I've added new pieces to it. They were originally produced starting in 1936 but were taken out of production in 1973. In 1985, they once again started being produced with some pieces identical to the original designs and others changed slightly. They are pure Art Deco in a rainbow of colors. They can be bought one piece at a time which makes it perfect for an inexpensive but great wedding gift. And the best thing is to collect different colors. When I set a take for six, nobody has the same colors of places or even silverware.

In 1986, five colors were offered: Rose (true pink), Black (slightly chocolate under bright light), Cobalt (dark navy), White (bright stark white), and Apricot (pale pinkish tan). New Fiesta in a total of 26 glaze colors, none of which matches exactly any of the thirteen colors of vintage Fiesta.

As of early 2008, many Fiesta shapes exist in a total of 39 color glazes. In addition to the first five glazes, the names of the new color glazes, in order of introduction, are: Yellow (pale custard/butter), Turquoise (more greenish than vintage Turquoise), Periwinkle (slightly lavenderish-blue), Sea Mist (pale mint green), Lilac (purple), Persimmon (brownish-orange), Sapphire (medium bright blue like faded denim),
Chartreuse (brighter and greener than vintage Chartreuse), Pearl Gray (warm light gray), Juniper (dark bluish-green), Cinnabar (burgundy), Sunflower (bright yellow), Plum (deep dark purple), Shamrock (bright deep green), Tangerine (bright orange), Scarlet (deep true red), Peacock (bright blue), Heather (dark reddish-purple), and Evergreen (dark bluish-green).

There are new colors and limited colors being announced every year.

Retro stuff is fun! I love scouring junk stores, thrift stores and garage sales for retro goodies. I love the vintage art and photos too - thanks for sharing and best of luck!

Awesome retro lens. I think the older I get the more I am into this. But then again, my daughter is too. 5 stars.

I think different people see it in different ways. To me, "vintage " is something old...a card design, an old car. And "retro" is something new that's made in the style of something old...a new CD player that's styled like a jukebox. But others slosh the two together or consider "retro" everything back to 1900 and "vintage" everything previous to that.

I am interested in retro and vintage very much .It would be nice to read abut the two words themselves .Is there a sharp line between retro and vintage ?
